with teen pregnancy, teens smoking, drinking and everything, I worry about our country and the Kingdom of God. My friend came up to me (newly pregnant) and told me that he blamed God for her baby and that her baby was messing up her life. I was shocked this girl I've known for a long time, part of the reason I was brought to Christ, was now blaming God for things that she herself could have easily prevented. I hear alot of girls say, "oh the pill is the best form of birth control." but really the ONLY form that is 100% effective is abstinence. I talked to my friend and she was really perceptive to what I had to say. She thought and then she prayed and she asked for God's forgivness.
I'm really proud of my friend. I know that sounds kind of wierd I'm not proud of her for getting pregnant at 17 but I am poud that she is taking repsonsibility and asking for forgivness and enlightenment through her tough time. This is just something that was laying on my mind so I needed to talk about it.

Lord watch over this young one
And her newborn baby
Praying that all goes well
Be also with the youth of the world
Help them to follow you Lord
As well as lean on you
In thy name and will amen

But you're right it seems to be so common it's actually considered normal for all those things in some places. I'm always saying that we give our youth too much gray area where it really is just white and black. My parents were awesome loving people growing up but to many times they were more worried about me making my own choices then impressing on me the best and right choices. I don't blame them for everything after all it was my own choice but I do think that society is just way to accepting of not taking responsibility for actions. Abortion is my favorite example of this. To me it is just astonishing how so many people can think it’s okay to kill a child. I mean biologically and scientifically (Aside from every moral possible reason) there is more evidence that a fetus is a conscious human creature so in a society that will let murders or child molesters go because they want to be on the “safe side” when assigning guilt why is an proven innocent life so unremarkable to them? Most pro-choice people will also hide behind the whole. “What if they were raped, or incest or health reasons etc…?” Statistically less than 10% of abortions are from any of the before named reasons leaving over 90% as a birth control method. Statistically those are some really weak odds when trying to make a case for something. Also over 40% of those 90%+ are repeat abortions. I mean there really aren’t very many cases where abortions are about anything but not owning up to a mistake. It’s very perplexing when human life becomes way sided by monetary or material value. Like the story about the drug company who refused to manufacture a drug that was proven to cure a certain kind or juvenile I think it was cancer. The reason given was there were not enough cases sited to make the endeavors cost effective. So a couple of children’s lives were less than a few dollars. Or that a criminal who rapes your six year old has a better chance of getting more time in jail for stealing your car. It’s all about accountability and unfortunately those who do not know God believes they are only accountable to themselves and if there is no real fear of punishment then they will continue doing what they want. (And yes I have visited a max, med, min security prison. One of my best friends when I was younger had an abortion so I saw what that does to a person mentally and physically, and I’ve watched them set a person who raped a child free while they sentenced an 18 year old to prison for over five years for stealing a car and fleeing.) Okay I’m probably preaching to the choir here lol but it’s the truth so many choose to ignore.

But I applaud your friend for taking responsibility for her mistakes. It isn’t always the easiest path but as you know it’s the only really right one to take. I’ll be praying for her and the babe. I will also pray for you for strength in being a good friend. Sorry I don’t have any really good scripture verses to comfort you but I’m still pretty new at this all I have are my life experiences but I’m sure many one here are wise in that field and can give you a lift! Hugs and Blessings.

I too will pray.
Question.....why would you worry about the Kingdom of God. Not ours to worry about, this is Gods.
Just wondering maybe you did not mean it like it sounds.

I'm thinking that I didn't mean it the way it sounded let me rephrase:
I worry about our country and with everything that goes on I worry about our future. the future of those who come after us. this is what I worry about.

I was just listening on the Christian radio station the other day that our youth are in danger. Many believe just by being a good person you'll go to heaven, some don't believe in hell, etc. We really need to pray for the youth of today because the enemy is really attacking them.

While I do have great concern that the world that my grandchildren will have to live in will be much different than the one I live in I don't worry about it. God is in control.
Outward morality is good for society to be sure. But it is treating the symptom rather than the disease. Evil is a heart matter and though it may be restrained by outward morality it still resides in the heart. The world will be changed one person at a time by the preaching of the Gospel.
