Hi. I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I'll post it anyway.

I'm wondering about a bunch of TV commercials I remember from the 1980s. I'd just like to know if anyone remembers these commercials which I swear really exist (though I can't find them online).

I was born in 1984 (thus, Ringo84), so we're probably talking about commercials between about 1985 or 6 to 1989. Here they are:

o An Advil commercial (I'm pretty sure). It showed someone circling words on the back of the box with a red marker or pen.

o Some kind of men's wear commercial (I think) that involved two people (a man and a woman?) pulling tags off of suits (or clothes). I always associate this with S&K, but it might have been a Sear's or JcPenney's, etc commercial.

o A Taco Bell commercial which may actually be from the 1990s. It was set in a desert - maybe with a speeding car. The jingle for the commercial went something like ".79 .89 .99!" (as in cents). This was the price of Tace Bell's value meals or something like that. I remember this commercial fairly clearly but can't find verification anywhere.

o Skip-It commercials! I remember these very well. The jingle went something like: "just skip-it! Skip-it! Skip-It!" etc. etc.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for answering, RedTulipMoon. I thought that this thread had fallen flat.

So I'm not crazy? These commercials actually existed and aired at some point in the 80s/early 90s?

It was probably less than a year ago I wondered what happened to those Taco Bell commercials. (Prices got raised? :p )
I don't know, but I think this commercial was very early 90s (like, 1990 or 1991).

Here is a good one, do you all remember this "jingle"

""I like to buy the world a Coke to keep it harmony... ""

It was a Coke-Cola commercial!!!! it rocked!;)
Yeah! I have that jingle on my computer from the CD TeeVee Toons: The Commercials. Great song.

How about the classic "Where's the Beef?" . :D
That may be a little before my time - I'm not sure. Didn't those commercials come out in 1984? If so, I was probably too young to really understand them.

I remember the Taco bell and Skip-It commercials! I don't remember the Advil one, though.

Here's some others I recall from that era:

-The McDonald's jingle ("Good times, great taste- at McDonalds!")

-The Barbie commercial theme ("We girls can do anything- right Barbie!")

-The Smarties commercial where the kids are in some sort of factory. And the song went something along the lines of:

"When you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last? Do you suck them very slowly- or crunch them very fast? Eat that candy-coated chocolate...(some singing I couldn't make out)....when you eat your Smarties do you eat the red ones last?!"

I also remember the My Buddy/Kid Sister commercials someone here mentioned.:)
