...which is everyone in here, I hope, since we're charismatics, I'm hoping you pursue miracles!

I'm sorry, but this is not an interesting thread, but I hope you will read it and pray for me. Let's just say that before, I did something really awful and the consequences are breaking through. I can't even attend my church regularly and I haven't been attending my church fellowship at all. I have to hide at a different church because things are so awful right now. I finally understand how much consequences sin can bring me. I don't wish to post on here what I did, because there has been enough Christians who showed disappointment in me and no sympathy to pray for me. Please pray that I can go back to my regular church and that I WON'T HAVE TO SEE ANYTHING THAT MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE OR AWKWARD. (This is the most important part.) You don't have to understand it, because God does. The reason I can't go back to my church is because I really don't want to see anything that makes me feel uncomfortable or awkward. Believe me, it takes a MIRACLE for to prevent me from seeing anything that makes me feel uncomfortable or awkward. I'm sorry that this isn't an interesting thread, but please pray for me. If you have read this post, I thank you for taking the time.

As Christians we are to uplift one another and consider ourselves to be in the low state of being. God as forgiving you, But people tend not to do so that is because they are not after the mind of Christ. Also, forgive yourself FIRST. Once you repent it is over that quickly. Guilt is a trick of the enemy. I pray that the Lord will strengthen you to use sound judgement in making decisions and I pray that you continue to get encouraged by other Christian believers. Be Blessed

I have forgiven myself. I know that if I don't forgive myself, I would be holding my standards higher than God's. Thanks for your concern.

I am really glad you two replied to me. Like I said, I've forgiven myself. Let's just pray that the consequences of my sin will be over soon...

Consequences are tough and hard to ride out but I pray God will even give you the strength, comfort and encouragement to ride them out until He sees fit to turn things around. Much love and peace to you and please do keep me posted.

May the Lord be with you and bless you!

Wow! Thank you! I've only read the first paragraph so far but it's helping me! I will save the link so I could send it to other people as well.

Also, I'm finding much more in the website that answers some of my other questions! Thanks for sending me the link. I enjoy the website because it caters to charismatic Christians, with sermons about being filled with the Holy Spirit, demon possession, etc. These are some sermons that I'll never hear about at the conservative church where I'm hiding in.

I wish I could go back to my charismatic church soon...

ahmunmun,

would it help for you to change your perspectives?

I don't mean, how you look at things, but rather, how you perceive things.

The sin is forgiven already. Don't let that hinder you from moving forward.

Your identity in Christ Jesus is the only thing that matters, and not even sin can strip that from you.

Your outcome is already determined. God doesn't bless us according to us, He blesses us according to Himself.

Romans 8:29-30 - For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Notice that these words are "past tense".

You are already:
  • called
  • justified
  • glorified
in Christ Jesus. God has conformed you to the image of the Son.

It's not important to turn from sin as much as it is to turn towards the Lord.

We don't find freedom in attempting to turn from sin.
That only comes as we turn TO the Lord.

Paul tells us that to be transformed into the image that is already found within us (Christ Jesus), we must constantly renew our mind to that Truth.

Praise God! The Lord revealed to me a very important element in our spiritual freedom. It's in the tearing down of strongholds. Do you know what a stronghold is? It's an incorrect thinking pattern based on lies and deception. I can't tell you how many of God's children are living 'defeated' lives, and feeling spiritually defeated, simply because they do not know and understand the truth about who they are in Christ! There's an article on that Web site you might want to read on the tearing down of strongholds. It also speaks of legal grounds that the enemy uses to 'access' us, but I just want you to read the first part about tearing down strongholds. Then I'd like you to verbally confess to yourself each of the Bible verses in the anti-stronghold list of verses!

If you learn what strongholds are and get any strongholds in your life torn down... you are going to FEEL a change take place in your level of spiritual freedom!! :amen:

If you need anything... or have any specific questions, please feel free to PM me, and I would be happy to help!

Many blessings!!

Bobby

Unforunately I'm to am seeing that not everyone who claims to be Christian act as so. It hurts me but I'm overcoming it slowly. The one thing most I see in the word is LOVE, MERCY & FORGIVENESS. If we could just concentrate on these & not mans doctrine we could & would I'm sure be more productive in the Kingdom of God. Pray & wait paitently on the Lord to direct your steps back to church. You never know he may take you elsewhere, What we think would be good God may have something better. Peace in Christ

Sister..

Everyone of us have fallen.. have come up short from where Jesus is calling us to be.. Our flesh gets in the way..

Abba Father.. Lord of all.. King of Kings.. Our All in All..

I lift up my sister to Your Loving Arms.. cradle her.. let her feel Your tender Mercies..

She has confessed & repented for her actions.. and You gave forgivenes, Lord..

1Jo 1:9 If we make it our habit to confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us those sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Comfort your daughter, Lord God.. Have mercy & give her peace, Jehovah Shalom..

Psa 50:15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Strengthen her, Lord..

Psa 27:14 Trust the LORD! Be brave and strong and trust the LORD.

I pray boldness over her Lord.. Freedom, my God.. I pray freedom from the fear of man and what 'he' thinks.. all that matters Lord is You..

2Ti 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Focus her eyes on You, Precious Jesus..

In Jesus' matchless Name I pray.. Amen

Dear saint..
You have full access to the throne of Grace in Him. People who do not make mistakes do not need thrones of Grace. The rest of us do. And we are exhorted to come "boldly" before that throne in time of need. No wimpishly or cowering... rather we are to march up to it and thank the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the blood He shed on our behalf. Jesus took all the shame and punishment on Himself, and He did so that we would be a people unto Him. He desires your success. He wants you to succeed in every way theat you can be successful. You have been made more than a conquerer in Him. Tell the devil to take a hike. Your life belongs to Jesus, bought and purchased with that same blood.
Peace

I'm sensing that you're implying things about me. Firstly, are you saying that I claim to be a Christian but I don't act as so? Are you saying that I don't have love, mercy and forgiveness and that I focus on man's doctrine?

riverpastor said:

I don't mean, how you look at things, but rather, how you perceive things.

Firstly, thank you for the Bible verse. However, I don't understand the changing my perspective part. Along with sin comes inevitable consequences unless God stops them. The inevitable consequence to my sin is the possibility of facing something that would make me feel uncomfortable/awkward. Since God forgave me, I just want Him to stop the consequence when it's time. I just want God to have mercy on me. How exactly is my perspective wrong?

Thank you for the reminder that turning towards God is more important than turning away from sin. However, my post wasn't saying that I need to turn away from sin, because I already did. I already confessed. Let's just hope that the consequence will stop.

Thank you to others who replied and prayed!

It seems to me that you are wearing the consequences of your sinful behaviour like a badge of honor. Let loose of that. God is not mad at you, He loves you.
