Not to state the obvious, but you are not your wife's father (I'm not saying this in a totally illegal, really wrong way) so why should she "give" you a gift?!!

Your post reminded me of my dad and how he would behave around Mother's Day. Every Mother's Day we would talk to our dad about getting mom a gift. And every year he would say "Why? She's not my mother". Funny guy! I miss him like crazy.

All pretty resonible requests I reckon, I usedta git a tasty breakfast mysef, I don't think I'ma gittin one this year seeins how all I managed to feed my wife on mothers day was a bowl of cereal LOL but in my defense I was kinda sick some so that's got to account fur sumthin right?!?

Yeah you know? Why is it that on Mother's Day and Father's Day it's the SPOUSES that are expected to do all the giving? We have anniversaries and birthdays and Christmas for that.

For me on mother's day I expect my husband to wish me a happy mother's day, and for my KID(S) to do something for me. That's it.

Gasp - no soap-on-a-roap requests?!? I thought that's what Father's Day was all about!

I already have what I want, He was born almost 3 years ago now.
I don't need anything else except maybe a card from my daughter who lives over 500 miles away from me with her mom. I am not selfish or unreasonable. All I need to hear is I love you and Happy Fathers day. Nothing else.
I do the same for my Dad. He told me thats all he needs.

LOL @ Redguard! Hehehe...I was thinking to myself...a guy who'll honestly admit what's on his wishlist!!! I think my husband's list might be pretty similar, but he'd want to play GameCube instead and watch back to back Godzilla or Star Trek! I'm going to have to show him your list, I'm sure he'll get a kick out of it!
