Hi, I'm new to this community. I was actually searching for somewhere to hang out and thought I'd check in here.

Why are there so many women pastors when 1 Timothy 2:12-14 forbids it?
Is it that once again the word of God is being ignored?
1) The argument that the Bible was written by men is unacceptable because the Bible is a product of the Spirit of God.
2) The argument that "we are living in the last days" is unacceptable because WHO is to say that these are the last days. The Bible does say that God would pour his Spirit on mankind but he did not say that this would negate the rules and laws of the Bible.
3) The argument that "these are different times" is unacceptable because God's word will stand no matter what age (Bronze age, Golden age, Industrial age, Technological age...ect) we are in.
Are Churches in violation of God's word?

if women preaching was such a taboo, then why did Jesus reveal himself first to mary and mary magdalene after rising from the dead (Matthew 28:9)? and why would he tell them to "go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.(Matthew 28:10)"? or before that - the angel told them to "go quickly and tell his disciples he has risen from the dead.(Matthew 28:7)" is this not preaching - them telling others what they have witnessed and spreading the joy of Jesus's resurrection?

But where in the Bible does it indicate that a woman can hold the office of a pastor, deacon bishop, or any kind of authoritative position over men (as Pastors particularly ~ they are the earthly representation of the Shepherd of the Flock)?

would a priestess be any more than a mother to her congregation? catholic priests are revered as fathers.
