I can't remember who, but someone posted this question in the prophecy forum and it didn't get much response (or an answer).

I thought I'd post it here because I don't know either...

In the Left Behind series, Nicolae Carpathia was very preoccupied with the number 216...

Does anyone know why? The answer never jumped out at me...

(I know this is a potential eye-roller as many people have probably already surmised the answer. )
