What if MY child were molested? And I am not comparing apples to a litter box. Satanism is also an excepted religion, tax exemption and all. Does that make it aexceptable to God? It does not matter what I except or not, it matters what God excepts. And He does NOT except witchcraft, which is a part of the wiccan religion. I do know what I am talking about, I have read and studied some as well as have had elements of it IN MY PERSONAL LIFE. You have not answered my previous questions, are you going to?

OH MY ***...ARE YOU STILL HUNG UP ON THIS...
It is not a sin, we already discussed this. And even if you think it is, there is something called not judging. That means do not judge it also means Do Not Judge aka DO NOT JUDGE...YES expressing ANY opinion, good or bad, is judging. If you dont like it, than convert to another religion that allows u 2 judge b/c you know what? I no longer care!
JESUS SAVES (hopefully He'll save you too)

Oh golly gee... Satanism from what I know (which I admit is not a lot) is not accepted and it is not about worshipping the Christian "satan", as many believe, rather it is about worshipping the self. Again, I will not judge.
Jesus performed "witchcraft" didn't he? miracles as some say. well wiccans do to, of course they are not NEARLY as powerful as the magic done by Jesus, obviously b/c he is the Son.
I do not know what elements these are that you are talking about, however I have also studied much and have elements in my own life. I am a true Christian b/c I do not judge others. Unlike some around here I am not discriminatory.
As for the previous question I am not sure which one, I have been bombarded w/ things all day just b/c I am trying to be a good Christian and stand up for the teachings of Christ.
P.S. isn't it "accept" and not "except"?

What does it mean to be a Christian? The bible, which is the book that Christians base their teaching on, says that one is not saved by works, but by faith. Not judging is works. I asked you also, if judging = not voicing an opinion, good or bad, than the fact that you are voicing an opinion on wicca, religious tolerance and making fun of my spelling is judgement.

Jesus? Witchcraft? Goodness no. It's called the power of God. And the Bible itself calls them miracles, while at the same time condemning witchcraft. I will not debate this whole wiccan thing...but I must take issue at someone claiming that Jesus performed "witchcraft".

I'm not going to question your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. But your statement leads me to believe you either need to study your Bible more, or get a good feel for what the religion of Wicca believes and practices. I have not done much research, (just surfed a couple of informational websites) but in the little I did find, I saw that witchcraft, divination, and psychic activity were presented as common activities among practicing Wiccans. These practices are denounced by the Bible as ungodly. Most translations of the Bible I've seen even go so far as to say God hates these practices. It would seem that according to Biblical standards, the intentions of the person practicing witchcraft, divination, etc., are irrelevant...good or evil. The Bible is clear about where God's position is regarding these practices.

I would not discriminate against anyone practicing another religion. But that doesn't mean I don't have the right to point out differences between that religion and Christianity...especially to one who claims to be a Christian.

Well, let's look at the dictionary definition of evil:

evil--morally reprehensible : SINFUL, WICKED <an evil impulse> b : arising from actual or imputed bad character or conduct <a man of evil reputation>

To be honest, I would stop short of saying they're all evil. I will say, however, that they are most definitely not Biblical. Even Islam and Judaism only follow the Bible so far before they branch off. As a sold out, practicing Christian, I will concede that other religions do have good points to them. Their practices are not universally evil or harmful. But, Jesus said "no one comes to the Father except through Me." And any departure from Biblical standards are a risky endeavor at best.

Another difference between Wicca and Christianity. God is concealed, yes, but He most definitely is not unknowable. Knowing God is the foundational purpose of Christianity.

I will also concede there almost certainly are differences between today's modern English translations of the Bible and the original manuscripts. Humans are imperfect, and the Bible has passed through many, many human hands. Even if we believe that God has protected His Word with divine inspiration (and I do), there are vary likely unintentional modifications in the original text, merely from translating from one language to another. That being said, there are still consistent truths throughout the Bible that prove themselves true in the lives of millions of people every day.

One of the Wiccan sites I visited openly stated that Wicca is a dynamic, or changing, religion because of the constant changes of the earth.

You might want to reconsider speaking for others with a statement like that.

In a phrase, life change. We have no way I know of to confirm the existence of heaven or hell, but the promise of abundant life that Jesus offered in John 10: 10, and the 'fruit of the Spirit' can be seen in the lives of practicing Christians everywhere, every day.

 I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this quote, but it sounds like you're saying, "If one religion doesn't work for you, try another one," as if religion can be changed like clothing. I suppose that's all well and good until you introduce the issue of Truth. When does a religion cease being a system to make you feel better, and become what's actually real and true? That's where the conflict comes in.

Every member of every world religion claims his or her practice is the right one. The problem is, we can't all be right. There are too many differences. There is likely evidence supporting each one, but as a Christian, I believe the strongest evidence supports Jesus' claim that He is who He said He is. If He is, then His teaching must be accepted as truth. And by His teaching, the practices of Wicca are not welcome in the kingdom of heaven...but any person is welcome who calls Jesus their Lord and follows Him.

I just want to say....this was a most excellent post!!

How do you define "witchcraft"?

"magic The Jews seem early to have consulted the teraphim (q.v.) for oracular answers (Judg. 18:5, 6; Zech. 10:2). There is a remarkable illustration of this divining by teraphim in Ezek. 21:19-22. We read also of the divining cup of Joseph (Gen. 44:5). The magicians of Egypt are frequently referred to in the history of the Exodus. Magic was an inherent part of the ancient Egyptian religion, and entered largely into their daily life. All magical arts were distinctly prohibited under penalty of death in the Mosaic law. The Jews were commanded not to learn the "abomination" of the people of the Promised Land (Lev. 19:31; Deut. 18:9-14). The history of Saul's consulting the witch of Endor (1 Sam. 28:3-20) gives no warrant for attributing supernatural power to magicians. From the first the witch is here only a bystander. The practice of magic lingered among the people till after the Captivity, when they gradually abandoned it. It is not much referred to in the New Testament. The Magi mentioned in Matt. 2:1-12 were not magicians in the ordinary sense of the word. They belonged to a religious caste, the followers of Zoroaster, the astrologers of the East. Simon, a magician, was found by Philip at Samaria (Acts 8:9-24); and Paul and Barnabas encountered Elymas, a Jewish sorcerer, at Paphos (13:6-12). At Ephesus there was a great destruction of magical books (Acts 19:18, 19)."

And magic and miracle are synonymous

#1 I am not judging I am informing, if you look through each and everyone of my posts you will see that I do not express my opinion only inform.

As for what does it mean to be Christian, well, it means to know and follow the techings of Christ, follow through with the responsibilities and rules of Chris (including not judging, I also do not recall JESUS saying ANYTHING about witchcraft).

And I was not making fun of you spelling, I merely pointing out a KNOWN fact. What you were saying about wicca was not a KNOWN fact it was your opinion from what you gathered from the OT...

No, miracle is of God, magic is not. What is not of God is evil. Never once did the bible say that the ones who were consulting 'oracles' were right. I condems their use. Saul was out from under the grace of God when he did what he did. Find one place where it says that God condones the use of 'oracles'.

Act 19: 13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out." 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?" 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
17 When this became known to the Jews and Greeks living in Ephesus, they were all seized with fear, and the name of the Lord Jesus was held in high honor. 18 Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. 19 A number who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. When they calculated the value of the scrolls, the total came to fifty thousand drachmas.20 In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

here, i'll make it easier for you, use this Gospel:

This "secret sayings" gospel does not tell the story of Jesus' life, but rather is a list of over 100 of his sayings, some of which are familiar to readers of the New Testament, others enigmatic and strange.

These are the secret sayings that the living Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded.

1 And he said, "Whoever discovers the interpretation of these sayings will not taste death."

2 Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will rule over all."

3 Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) imperial rule is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. If they say to you, 'It is in the sea,' then the fish will precede you. Rather, the (Father's) imperial rule is inside you and outside you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you live in poverty, and you are the poverty."

4 Jesus said, "The person old in days won't hesitate to ask a little child seven days old about the place of life, and that person will live. For many of the first will be last, and will become a single one."

5 Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. For there is nothing hidden that won't be revealed."

6 His disciples asked him and said to him, "Do you want us to fast? How should we pray? Should we give to charity? What diet should we observe?"

Jesus said, "Don't lie, and don't do what you hate, because all things are disclosed before heaven. After all, there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and there is nothing covered up that will remain undisclosed."

7 Jesus said, "Lucky is the lion that the human will eat, so that the lion becomes human. And foul is the human that the lion will eat, and the lion still will become human."

8 And he said, The human one is like a wise fisherman who cast his net into the sea and drew it up from the sea full of little fish. Among them the wise fisherman discovered a fine large fish. He threw all the little fish back into the sea, and easily chose the large fish. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!

9 Jesus said, Look, the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered (them). Some fell on the road, and the birds came and gathered them. Others fell on rock, and they didn't take root in the soil and didn't produce heads of grain. Others fell on thorns, and they choked the seeds and worms ate them. And others fell on good soil, and it produced a good crop: it yielded sixty per measure and one hundred twenty per measure.

10 Jesus said, "I have cast fire upon the world, and look, I'm guarding it until it blazes."

11 Jesus said, "This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. During the days when you ate what is dead, you made it come alive. When you are in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one, you became two. But when you become two, what will you do?"

12 The disciples said to Jesus, "We know that you are going to leave us. Who will be our leader?"

Jesus said to them, "No matter where you are you are to go to James the Just, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being."

13 Jesus said to his disciples, "Compare me to something and tell me what I am like."

Simon Peter said to him, "You are like a just angel."

Matthew said to him, "You are like a wise philosopher."

Thomas said to him, "Teacher, my mouth is utterly unable to say what you are like."

Jesus said, "I am not your teacher. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring that I have tended."

And he took him, and withdrew, and spoke three sayings to him.

When Thomas came back to his friends they asked him, "What did Jesus say to you?"

Thomas said to them, "If I tell you one of the sayings he spoke to me, you will pick up rocks and stone me, and fire will come from the rocks and devour you."

14 Jesus said to them, "If you fast, you will bring sin upon yourselves, and if you pray, you will be condemned, and if you give to charity, you will harm your spirits. When you go into any region and walk about in the countryside, when people take you in, eat what they serve you and heal the sick among them. After all, what goes into your mouth won't defile you; what comes out of your mouth will."

15 Jesus said, "When you see one who was not born of woman, fall on your faces and worship. That one is your Father."

16 Jesus said, "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone.

17 Jesus said, "I will give you what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, what no hand has touched, what has not arisen in the human heart."

18 The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us, how will our end come?"

Jesus said, "Have you found the beginning, then, that you are looking for the end? You see, the end will be where the beginning is. Congratulations to the one who stands at the beginning: that one will know the end and will not taste death."

19 Jesus said, "Congratulations to the one who came into being before coming into being. If you become my disciples and pay attention to my sayings, these stones will serve you. For there are five trees in Paradise for you; they do not change, summer or winter, and their leaves do not fall. Whoever knows them will not taste death."

20 The disciples said to Jesus, "Tell us what Heaven's imperial rule is like."

He said to them,< It's like a mustard seed, (it's) the smallest of all seeds, but when it falls on prepared soil, it produces a large branch and becomes a shelter for birds of the sky.

21 Mary said to Jesus, "What are your disciples like?"

He said, They are like little children living in a field that is not theirs. when the owners of the field come, they will say, "Give us back our field." They take off their clothes in front of them in order to give it back to them, and they return their field to them. For this reason I say, if the owners of a house know that a thief is coming, they will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not let the thief break into their house (their domain) and steal their possessions. As for you, then, be on guard against the world. Prepare yourselves with great strength, so the robbers can't find a way to get to you, for the trouble you expect will come. Let there be among you a person who understands. When the crop ripened, he came quickly carrying a sickle and harvested it. Anyone here with two good ears had better listen!

22 Jesus saw some babies nursing. He said to his disciples, "These nursing babies are like those who enter the (Father's) domain."

They said to him, "Then shall we enter the (Father's) domain as babies?"

Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the (Father's) domain]."

23 Jesus said, "I shall choose you, one from a thousand and two from ten thousand, and they will stand as a single one."

24 His disciples said, "Show us the place where you are, for we must seek it."

He said to them, "Anyone here with two ears had better listen! There is light within a person of light, and it shines on the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark."

25 Jesus said, "Love your friends like your own soul, protect them like the pupil of your eye."

26 Jesus said, "You see the sliver in your friend's eye, but you don't see the timber in your own eye. When you take the timber out of your own eye, then you will see well enough to remove the sliver from your friend's eye."

27 "If you do not fast from the world, you will not find the (Father's) domain. If you do not observe the sabbath as a sabbath you will not see the Father."

28 Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty. But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways."

29 Jesus said, "If the flesh came into being because of spirit, that is a marvel, but if spirit came into being because of the body, that is a marvel of marvels.

Yet I marvel at how this great wealth has come to dwell in this poverty."
