  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    The Guiltless Life

I believe the problem with the three poor grounds were seed that could not develop good fruit, which means no salvation; because "a good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit" (Matt 7:18).

    The Guiltless Life

According to Scripture, you will never desire to leave God if He is "working in you." If He's not working in you it means there's an absence of rebirth (salvation), because He works this in everyone reborn!

    The Guiltless Life

God is always "working in you" to "please" Him (Phl 2:13). Scriptures that appear to refute permanency of faith and salvation are only assumptions, e.g. you never actually see Scriptures showing Christians leaving the faith in Christ, they only say "if" you would do this or that you would become...

    The Guiltless Life

Yes, and very true. It should already be known that one reborn will manifest the Life of Christ in His ways, which is what the Spirit will teach us! Some think it's mimicking Christ's Life and that's ok, but what many have yet to understand is that it's the Lord Jesus Himself living His Life in...

    The Guiltless Life

In our life we are perfect in Christ's holiness, but in our soul we still sin; and all our sins are forgiven and continually "taken away" by the Lord Jesus Blood. "And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin (1Jo 3:5). The sins are always gone if we confess them.

Hi, and I mostly agree with you! Being "holy" is probably a little different in understanding and expression from one another, but everyone reborn is holy (Rom 11:16; 1Pe 1:15; 16). Christians are holy unto God when born again, and from then on we continue to learn that this is the only way God...

Hi L! Yes, they definitely lost all understanding on that one!! But the seemingly "minor error" at 2Sam 21:19 produced a large-scale alert in 1929 Church of England. They tried to change the incident with David killing Goliath, to Elhanan killing Goliath. It caused a big mess in one of their...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

The Received Text (Textus Receptus) is quite similar to the Majority Text (MT) and the Byzantine Text (BT), as they all share a common textual tradition. - Wikipedia puritanboard.com Concerning the OT reference, it was an example of the KJV italicizing absent scripture. They are the most...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

Evidentially there were enough manuscript copies for the King James to include it, because it's not italicized by the KJV translators. As you may know these translators italicize words that are not in the manuscript copies. A good example is 2Sam 21:19: "And there was again a battle in Gob with...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

It's my understanding is that only versions that retain the entire Word are from the Majority, Traditional, Byzantine texts. If one compares the modern versions with the Traditional versions you will find numerous omissions, transpositions and interpolations. We must be aware of the fact that...

List of Totally or Partially Omitted, Transposed and Interpolated Bible Passages

The foot notes in the modern translations are there to show that they do not belong in the Word and have been added. This is a false claim, the footnotes in the Traditional Bibles are to show that words and phrases have been omitted. The crux of the matter is, you going to waste time studying...

Hi, but I'm not certain of what you're saying. The KJV has not omitted this verse, or am I misunderstanding you. Thanks for the reply!

    The Guiltless Life

Hi Z, and much appreciated and instructional reply and comments! It's always a comfort to realize that the more we try to please God, the more understanding we receive of the Word; and the more the understanding the more we please Him (Phl 2:13). Amen, once they understand that they are genuine...
