  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Did Jesus speak Koine Greek?

You are expressing the traditional view of the state of Hebrew in the first century, that was predominant prior to the more recent archaeological discoveries and analysis of the Dead Sea Scrolls. In more recent studies, such as the book "The Language Environment of First Century Judaea" it is...

How do you use Biblical Greek to support your bible study?

Of course you're welcome to contribute, but perhaps you could read my question again, my question is specifically for people who have gone through the process of learning to read the Bible in the original language. If you are not interested in reading the original words written by Paul himself...

    Did Jesus speak Koine Greek?

The archaeological evidence that we have, real actual documents, engravings, etc, all point to the fact that three languages were actively in use at the time and location of the early church. Based on the actual physical evidence there was roughly a three way split between Greek, Hebrew, and...

How do you use Biblical Greek to support your bible study?

I saw a thread here which was using Biblical Greek in a weird way in order to support their theological idea, but it really didn't support their idea at all. I've become quite interested in practicing my Biblical greek after discovering the scripturial app, and it has me wondering how do people...

Is the phrase "Spiritual Accountability" unique to pentecostalism, and is it common to pentecostalism?

Interesting, thanks. It's hard to really nail down which ideas are core and which ideas are peripheral and limited to some areas/regions, so it's just interesting to hear other peoples perspective. Thanks for sharing.

WHY THERE ARE NOT NOR CAN BE APOSTLES TODAY !!

I'm sorry to break it to you, but sharing the grammatical information about each word in a sentence doesn't really make for a logical and cohesive argument regarding the meaning of either the Biblical Greek or the English. The Greek itself neither supports or refutes your contention. I can't...

Is the phrase "Spiritual Accountability" unique to pentecostalism, and is it common to pentecostalism?

Im curious about the phrase "spiritual accountability" that I have heard in some pentecostal churches but not not others. I wonder if it's a reasonably normal pentecostal phrase to use, or if it's unique to a particular types of churches pentecostal or not. Or is it actually not common at all? I...

    Should we test God?

At first glance, there seems to be a key difference. Complaining and grumbling to Moses is a completely different type of activity than "testing' in Theo there senses mentioned here.
