  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Forward Into The Past?

There are only a number of fields that a YEC can study in school. Most fields you run into evolution on some form or another -- so that leaves Political Science. No wonder so many politicians don't believe in evolution, they couldn't study anything else in school because of their limited...

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (AP) -- A team of U.S. and Ethiopian scientists has discovered the fossilized remains of what they believe is humankind's first walking ancestor, a hominid that lived in the wooded grasslands of the Horn of Africa nearly 4 million years ago. The bones were discovered in...

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

Here are the arguments: 1. the analysis of the sediments deposited by Mt St Helens after its famous eruption "proves" that the Grand Canyon could have been formed quickly 2. The first creatures crawling out of the ooze didn't have anything to eat, so how could they exist? 3. Pluto is an...

    Who did Cain marry?

I am really trying to figure out the Bible from a Creationists point of view and there have always been many questions that puzzle me. Can a Creationist field this question for me: If Adam and Eve were the only people on Earth, then who did their son Cain marry? Where did she come from...

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

I don't believe anyone knows what it actually says. I am curious to know who Adam's son Cain married if there were not supposed to be any other people on earth except Adam and Eve? Facts to be interpreted: http://atheism.about.com/library/FAQs/evolution/blfaq_evolution_evidence05.htm

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

Yup, I read it. It's just not my interpretation of the Bible. The first story of Creation clearly says man and women were created together - not Adam first. I believe that there were many men and women on earth before Adam (after all, who did Adam's son marry if there weren't other people?)...

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

Punchy, sorry if you think my style of communication means I am not calm...this is just my style of writing! Please read this article: (sorry, link didn't post???) Also, I think if you read Genesis again you will notice that the two stories of creation are indeed two stories - plants and...

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

The facts of Evolution are not interpreted, they are facts! It's like saying 2 + 2 = 4 can be interpreted different ways...it can't. Now, if you see the words of the Bible as fact, you are wrong - they are just hyperbole. Many of the 'facts' in the Bible have been misproven. For Instance...

In Six Days: Why 50 Scientists Choose to Believe in Creation

To quote Daniel Edelton: Sadly, this format makes "In Six Days" less than useful - on any level. The answers provided resemble testimonies rather than useful scientific analyses. Respondents tended to repeat each other, answer too generally, or (conversely) too technically on a single point...

Could anybody give me some credible sites that say there is water out there?

According to the Bible, there is water everywhere above the firmament - so, therefore there must be a big huge ocean right above the stars, right? Genesis 1.6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. Genesis 1.7 And God...

    A very simple question.

My family has been Lutheran since the time of Martin Luther -- we are German. I will always consider myself a Lutheran as I see it as part of my heritage. I'm not much of a church-goer, but I know more about the Bible that most--I also feel it is imperative to gain knowledge of all religions...
