  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

Yes and no. However that doesn't matter as both are true.

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

<STAFF EDIT>Yes I did.... Although there are different ways to measure fertility and many different contributing factors, (I.e. attitude and clean living) they all follow the same curve. According to the Pew Research Center’s 2014 Religious Landscape Study, Mormons have the highest fertility...

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

"Mormon-moulders"???? What on earth are Mormon-Moulders? I think you've been listening to too many comspiracy theories from off these Anti-Mormon sites you read. Once again, I stated that you misapplied and misintereted the statistics.... You are simply trying to divert. No arguement there! "If...

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

Actually I think it's even smaller at a Crusade. I remember reading an article in a Christian Church publication lamenting the fact that after seeing hundreds of newly converted and saved souls make the altar call at a recent Harvest Crusade, they were unable to find just one more seat filled in...

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

LOL... I like your use of the word 'notorious'... The problem is that all religions use different criteria for determining adherents, activity rates, and retention. As I said, for our family we are probably on the roles of 10 different Christian Churches even though we don't actually go there...

Why is the LDS church so attractive to people

Well that would depend on many factors. For instance, the statement that the LDS is the fastest growing religion was actually coined by a newspaper reporter many years ago. The Church itself has come out on several occasions saying that we should not quote that as fact however true it appears to...

    Simple question for LDS Members

Could be, he wasn't the only Minister arrested for doing the same thing that week. What I find telling is that the first thing out of their mouths when they got arrested was for someone to call the media. The problem is that most if the time it is either private security or local law enforcement...

    Did Adam sin?

LOL... That's just it... Mine will usually only tell me that I should have considered what I was going to do first... Oh well... I may have a late conscience, but at least I now have the Holy Spirit to take over the beforehand stuff.

    Did Adam sin?

That's a problem... I find that it's hard to follow your conscience, because it always only kicks in after you've erred. I wish it would quite following me! Good one... I like Abraham Lincoln, I'll have to use this quote some time

    Did Adam sin?

Thank you, I'm in good company then. Though I don't know exactly what talk you are referencing? My thoughts on this matter are mostly my own, as I felt guided and taught by the Spirit in them. I would be curious however to see how close my views are to his.

    Did Adam sin?

Then congratulations, you got my point... Although the analogy does not mirror my belief, it is meant to show the ridiculous and contradictory nature of those who believe Adam sinned by eating the fruit, and that the Fall was an evil act. For if the Fall was the single greatest act of evil by...

    Did Adam sin?

They had a choice to not eat of the fruit, which meant they would have remained in the Garden forever, God never said that was a wrong choice, and in fact, most Christians believe it was the only correct choice they had. Did God want them to go out into the world and learn to become as He is...

    Did Adam sin?

I agree with everything except for one... Which I recently had to change in one if my posts... Had they choose to stay in the Garden, that would have been the right way also. Adam and Eve choose the 'better' way... Albeit the harder and more dangerous way.

    Did Adam sin?

This is closer to how I view it. Out of the heart of the wicked comes wickedness, however out of the heart of the righteous springs forth righteousness. We are the ones who determine our heart and must watch what we put into our spiritual, mental, and physical self. Proverbs 4:23 It is not...

    Did Adam sin?

Again you are correct... It is only your opinion. You opinion however still brings up questions. Is it that through Adam's act of transgression that sin entered the world? Or that Adam sinned and that is why sin entered the world? Also, is the world the same as The Garden? Begs the question; why...
