  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

For the first time in human history, kayaking to the North Pole

"first time in human history" hahaha, in this context it kinda sounds like they are implying that aliens might have kayaked to the north pole at some point :D

For the first time in human history, the North Pole can be circumnavigated

Jeez: http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/for-the-first-time-in-human-history-the-north-pole-can-be-circumnavigated-913924.html I was looking at some american news sites and was shocked to find that there was a large number of commenters who were dismissing global warming...

    Why should I continue living?

If you believe that then it is jsut going to make it more likely. Never give up hope. People die when they lose hope. There will always be more things to try, and even if there were none you have no idea what will happen that is outside of your control. Maybe one day for whatever reason the...

    Why should I continue living?

Remember that absolutely nothing is permanent. Keep waiting, keep trying. You have no idea what will happen in the future... It's all in the mind(A sort of "mind over body" thing), if you think and hope you will get better, if you have faith that life will improve then one way or another it...

    Derealization/Depersonalization

Hi everyone, I just found this thread and thought I'd try to revive it! I've been to dpselfhelp.com but I prefer CF as I have been around here for over a year so I trust the community. I've been suffering for 8 months, I experienced it briefly when I was younger but it became cronic when I...

Muslims Will Rule America and Britain, Jews Are a Virus Resembling AIDS

People like this, who seem to lack the cognitive facilties for logical or reasonable thought need to be put somewhere safe where they can't hurt anyone. I am thinking something along the lines of Ben Hurs valley of the lepers, but in this case a valley of the stupid.

Report: Girls Gang Blows Up Houses With Homemade Bomb Over Boy

I was going to say morons like those girls who seem to lack higher cognitive abilities do not deserve to be treated like human beings. At least not until they start acting like human beings. But then I realized that most people are capable of this sort of thing, just usually it is reserved for...

Father of LSD Dies at 102

Ok so "perfectly safe" was not technically true but there is no need to nit-pick. That is a sign of desperation. I would say 4 people in 100 qualifies as "very few" Exactly that is what a flash back CAN be, but only very rarely. The canges in perception generally consist of faint trails or...

Father of LSD Dies at 102

I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about. You don't seem to understand the way tolerance works with LSD. The tolerance is temporary and massive, it does not build up slowly causing users to take greater doses. If you take LSD you will not be able to take it again for at the...

Father of LSD Dies at 102

LSD is perfectly safe when taken in a safe environment with a trip sitter. As for HPPD, it affects very few people who take the drug and of those few people the majority find it is barely noticeable. When the term "flashback" is used it most often is referring to a slight alteration in...

Good advice indeed, but not for simple discussion of the nature of reality. To be silent about that is antiquated.

    The Great Work

No not at all, everything is so subjective that its impossible to say! Yes, for me Christianity gave more satisfactory explanations for the world than atheism but satisfactory is again completely subjective. Also if there were stages I would never say that christianity is a higher stage than...
