  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Concerned/Trying to Understand the Logic

You aren't supposed to understand the logic. If you do, you will come to some very disturbing conclusions that you will come to accept, or you will go the other way and become like them. Many of us know exactly what you mean, for I've seen posts on this by many, and we are not fooled.

    Concerned/Trying to Understand the Logic

I guess I am saying is that IF non-Christians are to be allowed to post on a Christian board, they should be monitored at least to the extent that our members are censored. If we get accused of slamming because we can't accept their non-faith, why are they allowed to slam our God? Bad practice...

What's wrong with milk? (Sparkle and Jenna. Tami too)

I drink a cup of organic whole milk daily. I don't like much cheese. I am a vegetarian most of the time, except one meal a week. Usually if I'm home its a can of chicken soup. I have type A blood and those people are supposed to not eat much meat or dairy. Type O blood can take lots of meat...

What do the Methodists believe about eschaology?

Is post-millenial the same as post-trib? What is the difference? Tim LaHaye wrote fictional books about a pre-trib rapture? How much are they influenced by this? I am post-trib, and I believe in God's protection for some in times of hardship but I cannot make out or lie to myself about what the...

    You be the judge!

Does the Methodist church as a whole believe in OSNAS and post-trib? Or does it depend upon the particular church? I have just found out that the Lutherans believe that there is no literal 7-year tribulation or 1000 year millenium but they are post-trib? Are the Methodists like that?

    Lutheran - Catholic dialogue

Breetai, is this true for every Lutheran group? I think there are three of them. I don't believe in pre-trib rapture either. I don't think the Methodists do either but the Baptists and Presbyterians do believe in pre-trib. Is that right?

which churches teach OSAS and which don't

I didn't know that. Thank you very much! Do you know which believe in the spiritual sign gifts as opposed to just normal giftings that are more like pentocostal gifts but only they are not showing it outwardly in the services? I know that Methodist tolerates other views in the church if they...

Really? Did you meant to say that Lutherans and Methodists do not teach it?
