  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Trillions of Atoms

Either you have misrepresented Schroeder or are both comprehensively wrong. In gravitational bound systems like our solar system expansion does not occur so lets concentrate on cosmological scales where if your post is correct explain why the mathematics for the FLRW metric contradicts this...

    Shirley you must be joking.

Cow astonishes scientists with rare use of tools

Scientists have trained cows how to put on gumboots and walk around in them.

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

I am not going to waste my time going over this again and again even if you are so inept that the appearance of an answer doesn't register let alone understand it. How pathetic you are in this idiotic attempt to obfuscate the issue when AI Overview your go-to source has caught you out lying.

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

It doesn't say anything of the sort. Do I need to remind of your confession to another poster you are not clever, this is an example. What a ridiculous response to the AI Overview answer to the question if the consciousness interpretation is popular and acceptable in mainstream science. Why...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

I have answered your question but you do not understand is what "beyond the physical brain" means. It does not mean spatial nonlocality but quantum nonlocality where communication between particles or systems cannot be explained by classical means even when the particles are separated by large...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

Once again let me state the mathematics for each interpretation is basically the same. The key equation for consciousness, the "yes" in this case is a quantum mechanical projection operator. The projection operators have different meanings depending on the interpretation. Interpretation...

How is it that spiral galaxies don't spiral?

This has got to be one of most inept attempts made by YECists in showing the Sun and solar system are compatible with YEC time scales. There are many examples of evidence which the show Sun and solar system are orbiting the galaxy's center and not spiralling towards it. One such case goes back...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

Once again you demonstrate the inability of grasping what is being said which is further compounded by the Dunning Kruger effect where you are unable to recognize your own limitations. Emboldening parts from Stapp's excerpt is cherry picking and compounds your lack of comprehension. Reading the...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

Before Sabine Hossenfelder went weird and anti-establishment she posted a series of introductory videos on QM which may prove helpful in understanding my previous post. Mathematical formalism of Quantum Mechanics. Decoherence and density matrices (ignore her comments about ignorant physicists).

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

The problem with your post is that Stapp's model like any other interpretation is based on a mathematical framework so it is is meaningless to ask questions like where does decoherence comes from. Like Stapp I am using his mathematical framework to address the issues not irrelevant metaphysical...

How is it that spiral galaxies don't spiral?

The alternative is to accept young earth creationism nonsense.

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

Another one of your changes in midstream answers. In Stapp’s model, physical brain states are produced by decoherence. Consciousness does not directly determine the outcome through collapse, but the action of the mind selects which set of possible outcomes of brain states are available where...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

The brain evolves into multiple possible states (via quantum processes and decoherence). Correct. Consciousness selects which set of possibilities matters. The mind selects which set of possibilities matters. Quantum collapse (via the Born rule) selects one outcome That outcome is experienced...

Although I don't believe this apparently scientists believe life formed on its own

I did answer your question in my response to @Ophiolite where at least the answer was acknowledged and to his credit admitted he didn't understand it but is open to learning more about the subject. Compare this to your Dunning Kruger type responses, where you not even have the vaguest...
