  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Help - Insecure/Emotional Girlfriend

I agree with whoever mentioned counseling above... not with just any counselor, but with your pastor if possible. And I know your struggles, brother. My fiance struggled with insecurity constantly, and it was an uphill battle for me to keep her happy and snap at my every word. The problem...

    afraid of marriage??

This is an interesting topic... I'm kinda dealing with the same issue... Or at least was for a long time. My fiance is dealing with it more and more right now than I am, but for other reasons. I love my fiance--she's really been near the best thing that's happened to me, and I could see...

Are you in Denver Metro, Colorado?

Hey, all... My church is putting on an Easter play (much like probably a lot of churches), and I would like to invite anyone to come and bring their unsaved friends to see the play about Jesus's Cruxifiction and hear the Gospel! This is a great play to help save that friend you've always...

*despaired over breakup* - please offer some advice!

Pope Gonzo is absolutely right: Love God first before anything else, especially your ex. In this situation, you need to step back and concentrate on God and the love Jesus Christ has shown for you on the cross. You aren't going to show your love first to Jesus if you are always thinking of...

Evolution , for the simple minded..

God made the Heavens and the earth as he saw fit. Within that, every animal that walked, swam, spit, flew, chewed, and mooed was created by God for their own purposes designed by God. The hawk flies with its percept eyes to catch its prey; the rat small and sneaky to escape it's predators...

    Drinking

I'm not a big drinker, though I have before... It wasn't a good time for me then. I still do drink, every once in a while, but usually only with others. To me, it's a muscle relaxant and can help me get comfortable or loosen up to be able to have a jolly time with those I care about. Note...

    Which are "saved by works"

James 2:14-26.... Faith Without Works Is Dead 14What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,"...

    Trying to find the interview...

Hey, all.... I heard of the interview between ABC and Mel Gibson and his new movie, "The Passion of the Christ." I would love to have seen it, but as I don't have a way to recieve actual television to my TV, I want to be able to see the whole thing... Does anyone know where I can find the...

What did you and your S.O. do on Valentines Day?

Might be a few days old thread, but oh well. I work a night job (8pm-5am), the night before and that night of Valentines, so I had taken my fiance out to a fancy spagehtti place the weekend before (she loves Italian). However, when I came home on the 14th, she was at my apartment, much to my...

    1 Timothy 2:15

If you read the passages before 1Tim 2:15, It is talking about women's role in the Church (1Tim 2:9-14). Summary of those passages say that women are to be submissive to men and not seize the authority of a man's leadership in the Church, as like told in Eph 5:22-33 (roles of both men and women...

Who wrote the first 5 books of the Bible?

Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy were known as the "Five Scrolls" or Pentateuch, and Jewish tradition lists Moses as the author of them. Jesus referrs to Moses writings in John 5:45-47, and Moses writes about God giving him the insight for the books in Exodus 17:14; 24:4...

    supernatural--science or satan?

Being Christian does NOT mean that we are all stuck up, closed-minded, and won't open to new ideas. HOWEVER, being Christain means that I have a relationship with Jesus Christ, that he is my savior, and that I am to live my life according to the Bible. If I was never to have seen an...

    Unforgivable Sin...

God wouldn't command us to not commit the unforgivable sin if we couldn't do it. And as for the comments above, the unforgivable sin is indeed where you say an act of God was done by the devil. In Matthew, the example is, of course, the priests saying what Jesus was doing, healing the lame and...

    Praying together....

Hey all, Let me say that prayer is most definitely needed in a relationship. I have been with my girlfriend, now fiance, for a year and a quarter... We used to not pray together for a long time, but since we did our relationship has grown 10 fold. Prayer helps us keep on track with the Lord...
