  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Jesus being Jewish

The letter of the council addressed 4 items. All 4 requirements were given for the once pagan gentiles to make a radical break from their pagan worshiping ways. Nowhere in Acts 15 do we see any instruction for/or against living a life of obedience to the Law of God. The passage dealt with those...

    Jesus being Jewish

That's exactly my point though. How does one determine what "Jew" is currently being discussed. For Paul also said: "For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh, But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the...

    Jesus being Jewish

When we say "Jewish" are we referring to someone descended from the tribe of Judah --- or are we lumping all the tribes into 1 and calling them all "Jewish/Jews"?

I would not have know sin but for the law....

[John 16:13] "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into ALL the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come." Is the Law of God part of ALL truth? [Psalm 119:142] "Your righteousness...

    The Lord's Day

Did you not see my first post? Revelations 1:10 is not speaking on any "specific day of the week". It's D-DAY.

    The Lord's Day

There is zero evidence to suggest that the "Lord's day" is the 1st day of the week. Zero.

    The Lord's Day

This is merely an assumption, with zero Biblical evidence. Based on the backing (or lack of) for your argument for Sunday in Revelations 1:10, one could just as easily argue Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday as legitimate substitutes.

    The Lord's Day

I personally believe that the "Lord's day" is the day the Lord returns aka THE DAY OF THE LORD. But if we're set on trying to make one specific day of the week as the "Lord's day", there is much more evidence in the Scriptures that it would be the 7th day of the week and zero evidence to...

    The Lord's Day

Again, with a 4 to 1 poll I would expect atleast one brave Christian to give me 1 verse from the Scriptures to back up the claim that "the Lord's day" is the 1st day of the week. I have yet to find 1 verse that even remotely establishes this. And once again two easy questions: 1. What day...

    The Lord's Day

Are we using the Bible to answer this question or "history"? If you use the Word of God, you will notice that NOWHERE in the entire Word of God is the 1st day of the week EVER referred to as "the Lord's day". Easy "New testament" question: Which day did Jesus Christ claim to be the Lord...

Law done away with ? or Fulfilled thus perfected

[Gen 4:11-14 NASB] "Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. "When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth." Cain said to the LORD, "My...

Is the seventh day the Sabbath?

Like I said before...there really isn't a point in arguing with you scratch. You go on profaning God's Holy Sabbath and I will remember it and set it apart, and we'll see who is right when the Lord of the Sabbath returns.

Is the seventh day the Sabbath?

Alright well...in that case I don't think we have too much to talk about. I don't really feel like trying to explain the fact that the "Laws of God are not the Covenants of God"---so I pray you're right :)

Is the seventh day the Sabbath?

Wow. talk about *reaching* God worked 6 days and rested on the 7th. God's commandment is to work 6 days and rest on the 7th. Stop reaching.
