  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Catholic sacraments question..

Properly disposed in this context is referring to receiving Communion (the proper disposition being that you must be in a state of grace). Just be aware that although the Catholic Church allows you to receive sacraments in the Catholic Church, your Eastern Church almost certainly does not...

    Catholics only: question about death.

You ask for my personal thoughts, which I will give, but i want to mention that my personal thoughts align perfectly with the official teaching of the Catholic Church. After death, we are immediately judged by God in what is known as the Particular Judgement. We are either admitted: A) into...

have you ever been present when a communion host was dropped on the floor?

One of the Priests in my parish is getting on in years and he is very unsteady on his feet. why is it okay to protest the war but not abortion?

Travel Guide to Heaven? I got it too! I really enjoyed it, especially when he explained why visiting deceased loved ones in the cemetery is a good thing. I was one of the people he was complaining about, saying "Oh, the person isn't there anymore, why visit the grave. That's just the body, they...
