  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    My questions

But he has destroyed evil and he will destroy evil. In the Past: The Great flood, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Many many examples of God wiping out evil people in the OT. In the future: He is going to throw the devil into the lake of fire. He is going to send billions of people to...

    My questions

Thanks SE. But wow, that is quite a difference to the older translations. It really does concern me that some versions have been conveniently mistranslated to cover up a dodgy scripture (much like the ones I discussed with Calmanian)

    My questions

(No I don't abuse alcohol ;) ) But how does sin not exist in heaven? The only way it couldn't is if we all mature Christians who decide not to, or if God prevents it in some way. God could prevent it no problems I'm sure, but then why couldn't he while we were on earth? If it comes down to us...

    My questions

Just a few will do. Any you feel you have a good answer for. :)

    My questions

I disagree. I think it is a perfectly good analogy. We may put ourselves in the court room so to speak - we bring ourselves under God's judgement, but we do not choose to go to hell. No one in their right mind would choose to go to hell. One may refuse to acknowledge they have done wrong, but...

    My questions

No I don't see you as trying to convert me, not at all. You are trying to get your points across that is all. "Stalemate" may have been the wrong term to use. I still can't see hell as being just and anyone who would send people to hell as a merciful and loving God, especially when that God...

    My questions

Heck no. It's great that there are enjoyable things. But it seems a bit harsh to me that God should condemn us for doing these things and not asking for forgiveness, when he knew how much we want to do them, because it's in our nature, which he pretty much created. (hope I made sence with that...

    My questions

No worries. I've been busy over the last few days too. It's nearly 1am, so I'm trying to get as many replies in before I go to bed. Which does still suggest that at least some sin is part of human nature eg. lust and gluttony. As humans we have a lot against us and for many those things of the...

    My questions

But God knew full well we would eat the cake. He knew the decision we would make before we were even born. There was no way we wouldn't eat the cake, because it was predetermined. He knew no warnings would make a difference. Yet he still wants to throw us into hell for sinning and not asking for...

    My questions

For those who ask for forgiveness that is fine. But what about those that don't? They get none. They suffer the consequences. But the cake is just way too tempting. And God new it will be. Remember he already knew before I was born I was going to eat the cake anyway. I can't see how you can...

    My questions

The sex example to me is a little like putting a delicious slice of cake next to a kid's bed and telling them they can't eat it. But each day putting a fresh piece there. Now the kid loves chocolate cake. He was born with the deep desire to eat chocolate cake. Finally the kid can handle it no...

    My questions

Sorry about the misunderstanding. I was coming from the point of view that IF all 76% were true believers they could. No worries. You've been doing well so far. Your a good debater and I respect your opinions.

    My questions

Key, let's play with the Parent/Child analogy a little more. The parent decides to put a snake pit in the child's play yard, full of poisonous snakes. The parent knows without the doubt the child is going to play in it even thought that child is smart. He warns the child about it, hoping the...

    My questions

What about where the bible talks about the Flesh. Particulary Paul's teachings. eg Romans. He talks about a natural propensity to sin. I guess we could also get into the debate of Original Sin and all that too. But I always saw the term "The flesh" as being a natural thing. You don't think God...

    My questions

Yeah, I can accept that might have been the case with God. For some of us we have recieved many warnings. For others, not so many warnings. But the thing is God created the conditions in the scenario. He created that mud. It was also through the creation of this system that he created the...
