    Shalom Y'all!

I see that some of you are kind people, but it is unfortunately apparent that the Jews are not welcome here. I'm not Jewish, but I'm rolling out with Yochi. Oh well, I guess. I will see some of you over at JHR.

    Hebrews

I expected you to reply with snarkiness and sarcasm, but when you didn't, I decided to engage further. I see you saved it for later when you could not refute my argument. I'll leave now so you can feel better. Linguistic gymnastics? No. It's just that even basic Hebrew linguistics is over...

    Hebrews

The one thing you'll notice is that thosewho have made a living studying and learning Hebrew, without almost any exception, will agree with me. If you take Elohim to be plural in form AND meaning, you are saying that there are many gods of Israel; a concept that doesn't wash in the Tanakh...

    Hebrews

You glossed over completely that it can be and is singular in meaning, particularly when referring to G-d. When it refers to G-d, a verb in the third-person singular conjugation follows it (see Genesis 1:1). This isn't particularly rare in Hebrew. Just because a word has a plural ending does not...

    Hebrews

Exodus 7:1 Do you really think that G-d was making Moses into a triune-god, many gods, or a deity of any kind? אֱ־לֹהִים (Elohim) does NOT necessarily mean "G-d". It CAN be a word used to denote "G-d", and often is within the Tanakh...

    Dual Moshiach

What about Daniel? Was Judaism dead then too? Could the Torah not be kept then?

    Rabbis...

Why are you pulling out this card now?...you've been a willing participant in the derailment up to this point...

    Rabbis...

Exodus 19:3-6 -I even used a Christian translation to avoid accusations from certain people that those evil Rabbis changed the words- " What do we have here? God is speaking to Moses... God tells Moses to say something to the people of Israel... He tells Moses to remind them of God's great...

    Rabbis...

Anisavta, you're missing the point. In Christianity -of which the Messianics are a part-, Gentiles are not required to adopt Jewish observance nor is it necessarily proper to do so...Paul wrote on this rather extensively. Jew and Gentile are supposed to be one in Jesus, right? That means that...

    Rabbis...

Good post, christianmomof3. I don't know...maybe addressing the problem? By pretending it doesn't exist, it'll never get rectified will it?

CF's resident Israel-bashers at it again.

Wow, that is a very good way of putting it....well played indeed.

    Rabbis...

Sorry anisavta....I hung around messianic circles a while myself, and Simchat Torah's portrayal is the more accurate version in my experience too. I was encouraged to wear a tallit and kippa upon joining the messianic congregation in worship, even though I told them I was not Jewish...

    Does G-d create evil?

God created within us the capacity for evil and left to us the demonstration of how creative we can be with it...that's the clear implication of Deut 30:15. The other side of that, as shown in that verse, is that He created within us a capacity for good as well.
