    interesting knitting projects

Those are cute. The squirrel one seems a bit cruel though. :-/ I can't imagine the squirrel enjoyed that very much. The truck bra is pretty funny, haha. But I must point out, both are crocheted, not knit. ;) :P

    What is love?

Yes, good point. ;) I agree. My intention wasn't to say that that's *all* love is, but I was trying to put it into the most basic explanation. Love is a chemical reaction, but yes, there are quite a bit of emotions and experiences involved that may not fit neatly into a scientific bundle...

    What is love?

I'm not denying that. ;) But you do realize that hormones can have many functions, right? While vasopressin may be responsible for regulating the body's retention of water, it's also a hormone associated with monogamy and love. Science of Love - Cupid's Chemistry - The Naked Scientists...

    Wicca

I joined this forum because I don't *just* talk to those who have the exact same beliefs as I do. Communing with those of differing opinions and beliefs helps me to better understand my own opinions and beliefs. Plus, I learn about other people and where they are coming from. Also, I like...

    What is love?

But I don't really *have* a religion. I'm a spiritual person, but my spirituality has no rules on how my opinions and emotions should be formed. So I answered the question based on how I view "love". ;) It's a non-religious/spiritual view, but it's still my view.

    Star Wars OR Star Trek?

Star Trek. No contest. It's a lot more *science fiction*. I love the stories about spatial anomalies, time loops, superior alien species, nebulas, etc etc. It feels a lot more realistic than SW. As if that's what the future *could* be like in 400+ years or so. Though, obviously, with...

    What is love?

Love is a chemical reaction. For women, the "love"-hormone is oxytocin and for men, it's a hormone called vasopressin. These chemicals create a stronger bond between people and is released after a series of events in their lives, as well as when a mother gives birth. Their purpose is to...

How young was your child when you allowed them to watch TV?

This is the same at our house. We like the background noise. We started letting our oldest watch the SigningTime DVDs daily from birth, and also signed with/to him. By 12 months or so, he had a vastly HUGE vocabulary in sign language (he also spoke). There were times when he knew more sign...
