  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

There's one thing that dosn't seem to be understood by non-christians...

No. It does not mean that. First off to be "born again" doesn't require that one had been Christian before but then abandoned Christianity and is now coming back. No. Born again means that one accepts a new Spirit into one's being - the Holy Spirit of God. That the "old" human is abandoned for...

This Is OUR CHRISTIAN President??? (video-he flips the bird)

Canadians have been saying that about him for a long time .. too long as he shouldn't have been re-elected after his WMD lies.

Military chaplains told to shy from Jesus

When a soldier is out risking his/her life for the U.S.A. don't they deserve to pray according to their Faith ?? Especially Christians because there are just so bloody many of them ?? You really think a Catholic soldier should be denied their Sacraments when badly injured and dying? Denied the...

Christians, why would God make one soul at brith blind and another see?

He does so that we all might come to love God and love one another. If by extension your question is "Why is there suffering?" This world is a 'fallen' world for one thing. The spirit(s) have rebelled against God and corruption is the consequence of falling away from God. God is just. For...

Does the Bible have all the answers?

No. The Bible is not the answer. Jesus is. The Bible attests to Him etc. etc. but it doesn't have "all the answers". The answer, rather, is Jesus. Christians are not "people of the book". Our Faith is in the Living God: Jesus the Christ. We are blessed with a set of books collectively...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

Hitler didn't love his country. He hated it. And to prove it, he arranged the slaughter of millions of its citizens while leading the whole of it to utter ruin. What Hitler did was evil, almost pure evil, thoroughly steeped in wickedness and utterly foul. Now, that's not to say Germany nor...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

Well, I think you made a worthy deliniation and certainly one all Christians should consider. There are "cultures" that are Judeo-Christian based, such as Canada's. An attack on the culture can be indistinguishable to an attack on Christianity, an attempt to diminish it, block the Gospel and so...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

Well , thank God somebody heard that. Saying halifax Nova Scotia is "too white" is like saying Harlem NYC is too Black. It is a stupid bigotted thing to say. There is nothing wrong with areas, countires and so on developing cultures. We don't have to be one bland non-culture. If you go to...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

We're not talking about America, I've said very little about the USA and have only really quoted a statisitic or two. Mostly, we're talking about Aussies and Canadians standing up against the erasure of their cultures by people and forces that hate them.

    RACISM? No, it is not.

There's a difference between natural change and forced changed. e.g. That MP saying Halifax is "too white" is an attack. What he really meant that Halifax is too white and ENGLISH, too much of an interesting example of a Maritime culture that developed over the centuries on the east coast of...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

It's not nonsense - it's fact. What is nonsense is that you post replies when you don't know the issues here in Canada.

    RACISM? No, it is not.

And it is true. There's been a real movement afoot to erase anything perceived as "white" etc. etc. One Liberal MP commented that Halifax was "too white" and suggest the government should look into ways to flood the area with immigrants to "change it". An insulting and racist remark and assault...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

Actually, I think, 'could be wrong, but think that sethad hates the white race and, by extension, cultures that have a high content of white people. His knee-jerk reaction telling me to just go join the KKK, in my opinion, let's his racism slip. I'm not racist. I'm talking about culture...

    RACISM? No, it is not.

When I have to read a lot etc. etc. punctuation makes it so much easier to read and understand a post. One of those post of yours was so badly composed I couldn't make out what you were trying to say. Why should you expect me to respond if you cannot make the effort?

    RACISM? No, it is not.

I realize the Church is multi-cultural, in that people from all manner of cultures are Christian and participate in the Life of Christ. But I don't think the Church expects all nations and peoples to be one bland mono-culture. I don't think it expects Canadians to erase all the things that make...
