  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I became sick when I started reading about the Doctrine of Reprobation. Thoughts on it?

I feel like this sounds nice to us humans born of flesh but it dose not seem to have any root. It just sounds nice to believe and its easy.

I became sick when I started reading about the Doctrine of Reprobation. Thoughts on it?

I am not sure if I can give you 12 verses. The bible is full of truths that you and I both probably believe that we could not support with 12 verse. Jude speaks of some persons “who long ago were designated for the condemnation, ungodly persons who pervert the grace of our God into...

I became sick when I started reading about the Doctrine of Reprobation. Thoughts on it?

Reprobation is all over the bible. It cannot be missed. When people read about reprobation many will refuse to believe it because they don't want their made up God they created in their own image to be like that.

    Why isnt God using me?

I've had plenty of bad church experiences. Maybe not as bad as yours. If you live in the US you are blessed enough to go try the next church that is just down the next street. I cannot count how many churches I have walked into by myself. When you are going through hard times always remember...

I became sick when I started reading about the Doctrine of Reprobation. Thoughts on it?

Here is how I understand the doctrine of reprobation: "Reprobation is the sovereign decision of God before creation to pass over some persons, in sorrow deciding not to save them, and to punish them for their sins, and thereby to manifest his justice" At first I was hurt and had to walk away...

Does God choose every person that will follow Him?

I read Daniele9v9 post and I do not see where he talked about or referred to "double predestination".... I only can see he is talking about predestination and NOT "double predestination". Why are pointing out "Double predestination"? Can you point it out.... I honestly just do not see it. Thank you!

Does God choose every person that will follow Him?

I 100% agree with what you stated in the beginning. Well said. I am not sure if this is one of the points you are trying to get across... " You have to be baptized" but I would disagree. But I know in the NT you do not have to be baptized. I find baptism very interesting. I was baptized. I...

Non Christian person doing nice things Vs. a Christian who does nice things?

I understand what you are saying. To be honest I did skim your post so maybe I missed it but how will the recipient know you are a Christian by the nice thing you did if you do NOT mention anything about Christ?

Does God choose every person that will follow Him?

I have talked to a lot of people about this and this is pretty normal response. I think it is a moral flesh response. We want to believe God is this perfect God in Our mind so we create the things in our own way that make him seem perfect even though his perfection his so much better than the...

Does God choose every person that will follow Him?

I guess my using the word "fore-knowledge" someone could not argue that He predestined us. Just found it interesting. It is written all over the bible that he does predestined. Thank you for you response.

Does God choose every person that will follow Him?

If yes, why would he create some human just to let them parish in Hell. Let's try and focus mostly on the doctrine of Election.
