  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    You expose them by proving they are wrong thru the bible. You have to make sure you have a sound biblical base for your argument. If the bible says they are wrong, then they are wrong.

    Growing up in Redneck Mississippi with a Biker as a father kinda ruined my appreciation for poetry. But when I read some of Psalms, I usually try to take it verse by verse and figure out what David or the other writers are trying to say. Most of the time I just confuse myself.

    I say take her in, but only with the parents approval. With her being 18 there could be some serious legal issues that might be brought up.     My preacher always says that if God did not want us to spread the gospel, He would have taken us to heaven when we got saved. And I think this is true. Our purpose when we become a Christian is to stand against the evil in the world and bring lost souls to the cross.

    To tell you the truth, the only thing that suprises me is that Mississippi and Alabama are not majority minority. I live in Alabama and grew up in Mississippi and I would have guessed that caucasion was the minority.

    It seems to me that Iran needs to understand what Bush is willing to do. Obviously he is willing to turn to war to end threats of weapons of mass destruction. If I was Iran, I think I would play ball and let Bush look around as much as he wanted.

    The Date

    I was 16. Followed a girlfriend to church, since her father (the preacher) wouldn't let me see her unless I went to church. Jesus called me and I answered one night while I was there flirting. That preacher man aggrivated me at first but ended up saving my soul. Thank you Preacher Man.

    Jehovah's witnesses just came to my door

    I just wish that we, as Christians, would work as hard to bring people to Christ as the Jehovah Witnesses do. If a group from every Christian church would go door to door on a weekly basis and invite people to church, there would be a lot less lost poeple in this world.
