  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Were the Apostles speaking in humn languages in Acts 2?

Wonder what the mockers were hearing.

    Church Membership

The flip side of no man-made membership isn't anarchy, Yitz. There is a lot of structure in the church. The difference is what is scriptural and what is man. I don't want to get too strident about it, because I don't think having a membership is going to cause God to stop working in the...

    Church Membership

That’s a pretty clear explanation, especially the example of common law marriage. Biblically, we see marriage negotiated at the city gates in ancient times, so it is something that always has had a civic or legal aspect to it. Cohabiting without that contract would get you on the wrong end of...

    Church Membership

We're all to submit one to another, leadership or laity. And leaders lead by example. We're required to know them who have the rule over us, and we follow them as they follow Christ. Anyone who submits to Christ isn't going to have a problem submitting to leadership, but when leadership...

    Church Membership

Re the OP: Are you talking about church membership or simply being faithful to a particular assembly? Biblical church membership is being a part of the body of Christ by having the Spirit. That’s the real church, and those who don’t have the Spirit aren’t part of Him. The sense of membership...

    Eternal security?

Reading this passage, it looks like Paul’s main purpose is to rebuke the Corinthians for allowing this kind of sin to go on in the assembly and not address it by putting the sinning brother out. He goes on to say for them to have nothing to do with anyone who calls himself a brother who is...

Chip Injection Abuse, and Mercy on Judgment Day?

Those that worship the image of the beast receive the mark. Anyone who doesn't worship the image gets killed (13:15). Notice also the worship of the beast is always linked to receiving the mark. And in Rev 20 we see those who were put to death by beheading for their witness to Jesus who...

Chip Injection Abuse, and Mercy on Judgment Day?

There's no indication of any such thing happening in scripture. It's those who worship the beast who will receive the mark. If you refuse, you get killed. There will be three angels making announcements in the air and one of them will specifically warn all mankind about the consequences of...

    Gods Generals......

Yes, all born again believers have an anointing from the Holy One. If you are saying there's no additional spiritual equipping for specific ministries, then we'll find no common ground on this subject. If you're just having a problem with the use of the word "anointing", then I can understand...

    Gods Generals......

I think you're misunderstanding his post. He didn't say a minister wasn't called to "live it". He said the ministry anointing isn't there to help someone who's called to ministry "live it", and I agree completely. That anointing is for the benefit of those the minister ministers to. It's not...

    Gods Generals......

Caiphas said it was more expedient for Israel that one man should die rather than for the whole nation to be lost. Caiphas was very far from God, but the Bible tells us plainly he didn't speak this on his own- it came from God. It had to do with his position as high priest, and had nothing to do...

    Gods Generals......

To say that we can't cope with the equipping that comes with a particular ministry calling would be to say that God is somehow unjust in putting that ministry on us. Of course He's not..He fashions each one of us in a particular way and calls us according to His wisdom. But each one of us has...

1Co 12:2-3 Were the Corinthians cursing Jesus?

Not sure where tongues snuck in here from. We're not talking about unknown tongues in v3, but speaking in a known tongue by a spirit. I can tell you by experience that you don’t have to be in any kind of “ecstatic” state to speak something inspired by a demon. They are more subtle than you’d...

1Co 12:2-3 Were the Corinthians cursing Jesus?

Is there any English translation that supports this? I think it's beside the point to the passage at hand, which is really trying to teach the Corinthians to pay attention spiritually. The "no one speaking by the Spirit of God says Jesus is accursed" is contrasted by "no one says Jesus is...
