  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Evangelizing by oneself on the street

Hello Zoidar, I have done evangelism on my own a few times: and will resume soon. I do it in a really informal way. I start a regular conversation and then slowly drift into the gospel. Beginning with a compliment helps heaps. I set a goal to evangelise three people a week: simple, but...

    Bad reasons to reject Christianity

I agree, if miracles can't be scientifically proven, then they become false: yet apparently the origin of life can be proven via evolution. Dr James Tour, a Jewish Christian, chemist, and nanotechnologist studies the human cells and DNA. According to his field of study it is impossible for...

Is it 'easy' to be Christian but hard to fit in a denomination

Joh 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. Joh 17:19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Is it 'easy' to be Christian but hard to fit in a denomination

Col 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men Joh 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 2Ti 2:23 Have nothing to do with foolish, ignorant controversies; you know that they breed quarrels. Tit 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies...

    Bad reasons to reject Christianity

This was more a personal thing, but I have seen this argument used by prominent Atheists -The false premise that God is a strict dictator, holding a rod and waiting to punish those for every sin they commit. Ephesians 2 offered a quick/perfect fix to this. The growing underground churches...

Is it 'easy' to be Christian but hard to fit in a denomination

What about a homeless drug addict walking into the high Anglican church during royal easter service, weeping out to God? I hope there wouldn't be any doctrinal disputes or disagreements here. Yes. Its advantageous to be taught sound theology. YouTube helps.

Is it 'easy' to be Christian but hard to fit in a denomination

Forget about the denomination drama. Kingdom first! Read bible Be close to God Go to a church I personally wouldn't be too concerned about the minute details of doctrine: as long as the church doesn't teach heresies and mess around with your emotions (reading the word and letting the Spirit...

Ex Christians - why did you leave?

Not true at all. I am not trying to expose you or throw stones at you. It is a legitimate question people answer with difficulty I'm trying not to shoot myself in the foot... I guess this is not the place to debate so I would simply ask. Do you see morality objectively or subjectively? From an...

    BLM are self described Marxists

Yes I remember when they had this on their site. Great. There's a big difference between saying something and doing it. But why not men, asians etc... I must be "intolerant"? I am not aware of that. I don't know if they are. The organisation is not afraid to flex their radical left defiance...

    What is a hypocrite?

Oh!!! Just imagine Christianity even just without the connotations of WW2 and slavery. The Atheists, out of the depths of absurdity would have much less hate to apply to Christians. I can give you an example of hypocrisy. Karl Marx said: "Religion is the opium of the masses". Approximately...

Ex Christians - why did you leave?

Well where did our conscious come from? Perhaps a fish? A question for you. Is it morally wrong to rape and murder a child? WRONG | meaning in the Cambridge English Dictionary MORAL | meaning in the Cambridge English Dictionary As to logic I am admittedly lacking. And I am a walking example...

    Facebook and Twitter

Does anyone have evidence for there being a political bias on YouTube? As far as I know videos are displayed to a person's preferences. For example, after watching a few videos on Daily Wire, I get recommended more conservative videos. But if I watch Cory Booker talk, I might get, for example...
