Marriage for Man and Woman Only

Consider this: With the field of medical sciences expanding, we are learning more and more about the way the body and the brain works. It has been discovered that what attracts man to woman actually stems from an inherited chemical release that we call "instinct." It has been proven that...

    Inter-religious conflict

What are the consequences of different religions and their different beliefs. Although many people believe that Christ is the savior, many people do not and that is a fact not easily ignored. There are great numbers of people who would completely deny Christ for another deity such as Buddha...

    Pertinent questions

Thank you. However, for knowledge's sake I believe you should read it all. It is only healthy to the mind to know both sides. If anyone else can point out anything they would like to say, do so.

    Why is hell eternal?

I did not understand God's time table. I say that we have choice because it is true beyond a doubt that we choose what we do, no matter if it is decided beforehand.

    1 Tim 5:8

I was not attempting to be proven wrong. I was showing an example of the ambiguity of the Bible. The Bible can be interpreted in many different ways, why do you think there are so many religions focused around the bible and Jesus as the redeemer? My point was not killing is justified in...

    Adam and Eve incorrectly blamed?

Thank you for the clarification Philosopht as that is precisely what I meant. I understand that the Bible can be interpreted in many ways (although others seem to struggle with this). If we are to understand the nuances of the Bible, we must first take into account the literal meaning.

    Hell 2

I agree that people do it all the time, that is why I ended in the question, Will they? But there is no possibly more effective attempt at control. We watch criminals be punished but we still commit crimes. We see lovers torn apart but we still love. Although Hell is not perfect, it does...

    Is Lying Ever Justified?

It matters little what this man is willing to do, I would protect the woman. Isn't that what law enforcement is for?

    Why is hell eternal?

Your metaphors are far too ambigous to be straightforward. To say that eternal damnation is just is to deny choice. Forever means forever, and humans change, but eternity does not.

    1 Tim 5:8

How can you not be against war if you say that killing is always wrong. Hypocrisy.

    Pertinent questions

http://users.erols.com/jonwill/utopiabook.htm Is this not valid? Are we not all blasphemers to some religion? Everyone cannot always be right, but everyone can be wrong. It makes all too much sense and blind faith is what we are taught.

    Why is hell eternal?

I mean that no human is constant. No human can stand by one thing to the end of time. Do you not think that after so long of suffering this soul would eventually truly and completely wish to repent with all of its being? Does this eventual purity truly deserve a continuation of its suffering?

    1 Tim 5:8

The entire bible is ambiguous. Why do you think there are debates? Why do you think everyone isn't Christian? If the Bible were perfectly clear and undeniably correct, then everyone would be Christian. Thou shalt not kill Is war always wrong?

    Why is hell eternal?

I would feel that no one deserves Hell all the more acutely. Eternal suffering is an absolute, and no human is absolute.

    Adam and Eve incorrectly blamed?

Progression from no sin in human-kind to their inherent impurity. But God did not. Again, Adam and Eve is definition of the reality vis a vis strife between good and evil.
