  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Any Road Bikers/Cyclocrossers Out There?

Cross are the best all around bikes bar none ... can be used in all season's, all conditions and even raced if you have the notion. Basically they are more robust road bike with slacker/more stable geometry equiped to handle larger tires, typically with aggressive tread to handle off road...

    Hearing God

My best advice is to be still and listen... no different then when your trying to get information/advice from another person. Express your desires and needs and wait and listen for a response. At times it comes as a voice while others it appears to come more from within as a feeling or...

    Would you let go?

How about the opposite, just to make things interesting. :) Your standing at a high location (large pile of bales) and were told not to jump, even as you intended to. Did I jump, no. Why, because I have learned through experience that God always knows best. In this particular incidence I...

Anyone know a good website to track health?

There are such sites available and I can imagine them to be quite helpful in tracking dietary results/goals. I can't however personally recommend any site in particular but if you use a search engine such as google and plug the words "diet" + "journal" a variety of results like will pop up...

    Calories and Muscle Building.

To get the answer I believe your looking for you could/should read a chapter or two in a first year biochemistry text book. Look into the metabolic pathways of lipid breakdown and see where all those atoms actually go and where their bonding energy is released. It really is worth the read if...

Chlorine truck bombs sicken hundreds of Iraqis

No one believes that peace will immediately occur; there will be continued suffering whether the U.S. leaves immediately or not. It is the duration of the afore mentioned and whether or not American wants to be directly and daily involved in the suffering that is in the balance. Democracy...

    An Often Overlooked Pleasure!!!

Perhaps if it was more toward fall there would have been a more immediate response towards raw corn on the cob. Anything raw is good provided your digestive system can handle it. Raw pea's are also quite tasty. ;) fallen^sparrow

Interestly enough the shop has just changed ownership as of March 1 passing from "Bruce's" hands to our shop manager's "Neil" and "Cory's." Bruce is looking to retire in the next couple years and, despite struggling with Parkinson's disease, show's up day in and day out along with training with...

Good to hear things are still well J. Yep, I'm still in S'toon living, working and riding. The separation of those three is subtle. Cycling is going well in all its aspects, although racing seems to be the only one that matters to people. ;) So I play along, to varying degrees. Won a few...

You should figure out what your Basal Metabolic Rate is and from there can adjust your caloric intake to help realize your goals. Getting active is truely the best way to approach the situation and not worry about what you "shouldn't" be eating. Consider overall changes to your lifestyle and I...

    Is it possible to burn

In my experience it takes about 90 minutes of fairly constant vigorous exercise to burn a 1000 calories... and significantly less time if its done in some of our colder northern climates as a few of us here snow. ;) 50 km's of cycling, 15 km's of running or 600 hours of watching of "Friends"...

    Mountain bikes

You can get a decent ride for $300 with an entry level bike from Gary Fisher ... the "Tarpon." Stay away from the temptation to buy from factory outlets like Costco/Walmart/SportChek etc ... the bike(s) have nice and colorful sticker/paint jobs but they are cheap in all the wrong places...

What kind of bike do you like to ride?

Ah yes... was riding yesterday with a friend on his Specialized Roubaix with the Zertz inserts etc, nice bike and a good all around choice for both performance and comfort. Today I raced on my LeMond Victoire and road the cute little stead to a podium finish at provincials, praise the Lord...
