UCC. I was PCUSA until a couple years ago and like the denomination, but I now live within what I've heard is the most conservative presbytery in the country. (How we beat out the Bible Belt, I have no idea.)

I also would recommend checking out the UCC :) I'm straight but feel strongly about LGBT issues and would not want to be part of a church where certain people are excluded.

No apologies necessary! Although the two denominations are very different, many people get them confused because of the names.

Not to put words into Hedrick's mouth, but I think the idea is that some boards where people argue and debate (like General Theology) are more active than the Presby board, since people like to argue ;)

I'm going to try some of these. I was recently introduced to Taize music when we played some at church a week ago for a healing service. Some people who rarely comment on the music were saying how much they enjoyed it. Thanks for posting! Can I ask what site this was from?
