When you divorce God's word from God's works - you get a pretty messed up view of both the bible and science. When you read and respect both - you have a chance of getting closer to reality. EG: Alister McGrath has First Class Honours in Chemistry, a Phd in Molecular Biophysics, was awarded a personal chair as "Professor of Historical Theology" at Oxford. He has debated Richard Dawkins in print and media. The average science-hating, tub-thumping Young Earth Creationist ranting away ignorantly is just so ho-hum in comparison.
