  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    hindu scriptures

A noble goal in life indeed! Good Luck with it! Refuting Hindu scripture is not possible because it would take several lives to learn and digest them, before you could come up with any sort of refutation. At best you can do nit picking..;) 1. The vedas also known as the sruti( the...

I believe in One God. With no partners..

If the Christian God is actually three different persons(irrespective of their oneness in essence or thoughts) that is not monotheism. I beleive in one God without any partners - the Atman, the Self. That is as close as you can get to it.

Is man an image of God? How so?

Christians say that God created man in his own image. 1. What do they exactly mean by that - does that mean that man is divine? 2. If not divine, then does he resemble God in appearance? 3. If it is in appearance, does it mean that the Christian God looks like man with a face, hands, legs...

Muslims of the world are among the poorest of the poor

Great part? Really? If a scientist declares that there is no God, then he cant live another day - that is Islam for you, and its support for Science. As long as the scientist can keep his research within the confines of the quran, he is allright. Yes, the wealth looted from countries like...

The Mistake of Christianity and Islam

    1. Are you supposed to follow Christ and/or his commandments? 2. What happens if I break any commandment? Is it an unpardonable sin? 3. If Christ can save me from the sin of breaking any commandment, then I am going to accept Christ and break the first commandment.:) 4. If Christ cant...

Hindu's - "come reason with me"

So if I die without repenting , I am doomed isn't it? That is what I called as "closed". A rebel cannot be punished by the all powerful God, he should be given opportunity to rectfify his rebellious begaviour, isn't it? What would do if your child disobeys you? Kill him or just schold him to...

    Question for Hindu's?

Actually I dont object to this procedure...there are many malpractices that are going in India in the name of religion. I think changing religion must be made a legal procedure. I personally know one person whose name was Sami Vel(think he was from South India) and who was a Hindu. He...

Hindu's - "come reason with me"

Because none of these can affect God. You can rebel against a person who has finite potential. Not otherwise. A God, who knows and watches every move, and is full control of everything cannot be rebelled against. Define rebellion please. I can rebel against my father, my employer, my...

Hindu's - "come reason with me"

That is what is meant by the present capacity. I am not referring to the intrinsic capacity. Every soul is divine and has the same intrinsic capacity - but the present capacity is governed by circumstances of birth, prakriti etc - roughly attributable to sanchita Karma and prarabdha karma. If...

Mohammed Couldn't Follow His Own Rules

Perhaps you are not aware that there are thousands of christians doing the same. There are Hindus that do that. That, by itself does not make anything right or wrong. Numbers, small or big, do not make anything right or wrong. Most people in the world seem to spend time in ridiculing and...

Hindu's - "come reason with me"

Rebellion against God is a nonsense. God, by definition is a perfectly self contented and in infinite bliss. There cannot be anything that can upset God or make him unhappy. If human actions can influence God's emotions and action - then his claims of being omnipotent and omniscient go to...

Hindu's - "come reason with me"

False. It can be easily verified in the world. Some people are atheists, some are agnostics , some are slightly devoted, some are deeply religeous, some want nothing but God - our spiritual capacities are entirely different. Some people may change during the course of their lives, but this...
