  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Free Javascripts for Forms!! (Making your life easier)

There's only one way to validate an e-mail address, and that is to have someone reply to an e-mail or use some sort of code which is sent to the registered e-mail address. To correctly identify a valid e-mail address would require a LOT of code. I always hate when I go to a site and can't...

So which CMS is your favorite?

Indeed, I love MT! It is an excellent CMS. I personally really dislike all the "nuke" CMS'. There are too many cookie-cutter sites using them ineffectively. For many sites, they're overkill.

Discussion for those who have seen "The Passion"

I agree, that scene was excellent, very touching. It gave me a new appreciation for what Mary had to go through, and helped to give the movie a reality and humanity.

    worship cds

Two sites I recommend for CD's: http://www.half.com -> You can find great deals here. You can find both new and used items in various conditions for low prices. I've had a lot of good experience with this site. I also use it for books occasionally (buying and selling)...

Does your church ROCK during Praise & Worship?

Very well stated. :) old != bad I appreciate both hymns and contemporary worship. I really do not agree with abandoning hymns. They are a great musical resource for the church, have been for ages, will be for ages. And, as you said, it's not about us. :)

    Spammed

This is a good point. If you're careful with your e-mail, and if you don't have an easily guessable @anypopulardomain.com, then you should be just fine. I have a Yahoo account I use occasionally that gets 0 spam. :)

    Spammed

Spam is annoying. Fortunately 99.99% of the spam I get has "****** SPAM ******" in the subject line. <3 Spamassassin :D Post 100...woohoo!

    Pride

I'm often the same way. It's something God has definitely called me on in the past and recently. The best way He's dealt with my pride is to hurt it in different ways, to remind me of how, while I've been given certain abilities and blessings, I'm far from perfect. Sometimes those like me who...

Please Help a Clueless Computer User

Yeah, it certainly doesn't hurt to run both. I downloaded S&D the other day after seeing a few people mention it and will probably continue to use both.

Please Help a Clueless Computer User

There's no reason why average users shouldn't be able to use an alternative browser such as Firefox. It has basically the same features as they would need, the same "stop, back, forward, etc" buttons. Who cares? Background music is, in a word, evil. No respectable web designer would include...

Back: CF IRC Chat Room - better and faster!

Well, that depends. Hypoethetically, if a majority of people don't like straining to read colored text among a bunch of symbols, then it's unfair to them to allow such scripts. Besides, it was just a suggestion, throwing in my vote against such scripts.

Back: CF IRC Chat Room - better and faster!

I was only suggesting it for the channel. Though, I did catch a multi-colored global the other day. *glares* ;) It's part of what makes them lame and annoying. :P ;)

Back: CF IRC Chat Room - better and faster!

Hmm...I'd like to suggest a "No mirc scripts" rule, especially those using color. :/

Pray for Bush to win, in Christ.

This is the right attitude. We shouldn't pray out of a selfish desire to have one candidate or the other win. Pray for our leaders regardless, vote, do what you can, but let the rest in God's hands. :)
