  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Salvation in a moment versus moment-by-moment motives

One turns from self and one's sins and gets forgiven and adopted as a child of God. Because one has trusted in Jesus > "we who first trusted in Christ" > in Ephesians 1:12 "But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (1 Corinthians 6:17) Then comes learning and discovering and...

A question I’ve been reflecting on about church buildings

Jesus did ***give*** "some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers" (in Ephesians 4:11). But then was when no one was a mature saint with decades of maturing and experience. And so . . . possibly . . . this is why our Apostle Paul does not list any "gift"...

It's like how you can use a pagan's yew tree.

    So unhappy

Jesus says > "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." (in Luke 9:23) A cross of hard wood and its scraping splinters and its cold nails might not change. But how you are changed by God is what matters! And this includes how God has...

Christian nationalist pastor McPherson: "Empathy is aligned with hell."

Jesus says > "'Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.'" (Matthew 11:28) I see this means how Jesus does feel for people who are suffering in their sin. But, of course, He calls them out of their sin and its suffering, so they can have rest with Him. So...

    Had to delete TikTok because..

Yes, Jesus says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (in John 14:6) There are people who believe this, others who don't; and unbelievers can have reasons to interfere with Christian things. Ones do not want morals of the left to be stopped...

How do YOU spend time with God?

"Do all things without complaining and disputing," (Philippians 2:14) By refusing to give in to what would have me argue or complain, this can help keep me with God in His love . . . and in His way of relating with people, right while I am with God in His love. Yes, right while I am sharing...

    ICE, Killing, Justice, and Christianity

I, of course, do not know . . . really . . . since I take any public news statement, these days, with a grain of salt. But I would not be surprised. Of course, some number of the "left" people are ok with attacking and killing unborn children, even just before time of birth; yet, some of "them"...

    Are People a Mix?

The love your neighbor as yourself scripture that Jesus quoted is in > Leviticus 19:18 > "'You shall not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.'" (Leviticus 19:18) I note with particular interest how...

You have not made clear why you say this. I do live in the United States. And in case you mean you do not agree with some things I have said . . . you have not said what you do not agree with.

The origin of the Left and Right in politics.

Family culture . . . can have all things common and have equality. And it can be how it works because there is love in the family way. And Biblical Christianity is a family way of love. So, we have God being called our Father and His Son and the Holy Spirit who mothers the church. And 1 Timothy...

The origin of the Left and Right in politics.

There are evil people who get into communist stuff while other worldly people can get into religious stuff . . . wherever there is possible power to be had, and opportunity to get what evil people want. There is secular sex trafficking, while also there have been pedophile predators in...

    Health and Healing Study

"'But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.'" (Matthew 6:33) My understanding is this means that while I submit to God, He will provide the health and healing that I need for doing whatsoever is really His will. So . . . when I get in...

    ICE, Killing, Justice, and Christianity

I now trust that there is the "underground American church". Ones of these might not be seen in public pulpits and political activism; however, the ones obedient to Jesus are accomplishing all which is possible with God, though they might not be very visible. So . . . were they protesting, or...
