  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

5 Reasons Biblical Marriage Is Relevant for Current Generations

Of course, I know your question is rhetorical. Of course Christians should NEVER change their morals, standards, and values as they derive from the Bible first and foremost...NO OTHER SOURCE, OPINION, FEELING, OR EMOTION!!! Second, the Holy Spirit writes the moral code on man's hearts, so they...

    Obey the Sabbath!

There are some (usually about 10% of Christians), who would say that Christians should worship/obey the letter of the law in obeying the Sabbath on a Saturday. In fact, they would say that if you go to church and worship the Lord on a Sunday, you are living in sin. Particularly those in the...

To Give or Not to Give

There are some who would propagate that it is not right to tithe (give) to the Christian church, because it is not stated in the New Testament. Does a Christian have an obligation to tithe to his or her home church? Should a Christian take complete ownership with where and how they give or is...

Moral obligation to not give to secular charities?

Is tithing to the church wrong? Should Christians tithe to the church?

Moral obligation to not give to secular charities?

Yes, your assessment about the O.T. tithing practice is correct, in regards to a greater portion to tithe. The figure is actually 20% + 3% every three years! Praise God He doesn't have us accountable under those figures. Under the New Covenant, we are not under the law, but grace. Bow, grace...

I want to go to Heaven soon

How often do you read your Bible? How often do you go to church?

Moral obligation to not give to secular charities?

Yes! Very true! But the LGBTQ through satan's leading, has hi-jacked and perverted the rainbow! Now these days, when you see the rainbow used, 9 out of 10 times, it is to give credit and glory to the LGBTQ community. And don't think for one second that the Christian church is immune! Half...

Moral obligation to not give to secular charities?

Okay...you are obviously offended at my post! Look, I absolutely disagree with your assessment of giving to secular charities. Lines have to be drawn some where and who is going to be the determiner factor of where those lines are drawn to give out to charities...your emotions!? That is the...

Moral obligation to not give to secular charities?

Okay...that verse was taken out of context from Luke 6:32. And the context of the passage was about loving all men...even your enemies. It is a stretch from the passage to conclude that Jesus was talking about giving money to the poor outright (walking around the street giving free monetary...

Church policy about rides with the opposite sex

Agreed! Not over-shepherding or controlling, but having an in-house policy (spoken or not spoken), to watch out for predators that come in with ulterior motives. I think its normal that most churches have security. At least here in California. If you are in a small country bumpkin church...

Church policy about rides with the opposite sex

What exactly does that mean that it seems off? What are you getting at or inferring? Your answering is rooted in skepticism, criticism, and cynicism. You don't know me, nor I you, but I can deduce from your response in this thread, that you tend to look at the negative on things with a very...

Church policy about rides with the opposite sex

That is presumptious and naive! I don't think you have spent much time in the church to know the needs of a church. You have ladies that are disabled, blind, never got their driver's license. Sometimes the doctor has to put in a order to the DMV to revoke a license. There are also those who...

Church policy about rides with the opposite sex

I would post this in the "Christian Ministries" section, but this question does NOT fit any of the categories. So here it is: Do you think churches should have a policy about not allowing rides by the opposite sex, when the couple is not married, engaged, or dating? I have personally seen men...

    Is God angry at me?

That is horrible advice to give to a Christian who is down!!! You are saying that Faith over Fear is separated from God because of a particular sin! Don't believe that lie! Is our relationship and right standing before God based upon our works!? Is this a give and take relationship? Am I to...
