    I need your help.

Sri, I appreciate your input. It is very valuable to me to have that kind of helpful input from someone who has seen these things and watched friends deal with these issues. Thank you.

    I need your help.

I am in need of some people who are willing to share with me what it is like today to be a Native American in this country. I am doing some writing....yes, I know, everyone is writing a book. However, I am in the midst of one right now, as we speak...and my main concern as I write of Native...

    What tribe are you?

AZ man, I see that you really miss life on the rez. What is it especially that you miss? Can you share with us? I would be very interested to know your experience there and what makes it important to you.

Your stories of life on "the rez"

I would love to hear stories and your experiences of life on "the rez". The good and the bad...The experience of growing up there and what life is like in this kind of community. Anything you would care to share, I would be very interested in hearing, and I'm sure there are plenty of others who...

    Ceremomies ??

I would be interested in hearing details on Christian Native American ceremonies also. I think we need to appreciate and understand different cultural expressions of our faith.

    What tribe are you?

My grandfather told me that we were part Mohawk. He never gave details and didn't seem to want to let that bit of information out, so I am assuming it is true. He was quite a bit German. I also have Scots, Irish, English and a few others. But I am mostly German/Irish. I don't know how I'd ever...

    Ceremomies ??

In my reading, I have been seeing that God has given a measure of truth to all cultures which have at times been covered by other traditions....but that those things given by God are a valuable expression of faith when recognized from the original source. However, as AbelaJohnB says....there is...

    Lakota Recipes

I appreciate the frybread recipe. This summer we vacationed out west around the Mesa Verde/Durango area and were treated to frybread several times and really enjoyed it. I will try that recipe. Not so sure about the buffalo stomach soup though. I might hold off on that one for awhile. ;)

    Native American cultural worship experience

Thanks for replying, Mike. I'm really interested to hear what your church is doing. What area of the country do you live in , if I may ask? What kind of results are you seeing from your outreaches? Can you elaborate on the type of outreahes and where they might take place? I see that you...

    Native American Music

I'm really glad that someone started this topic. I am always looking for Native American music done by Christians. I really enjoy Vince Redhouse, who is a follower of Jesus. His flute music is quite well done.

    The Native American Flute

I just have to say that I too just purchased a Native American flute of red cedar this summer when we vacationed in New Mexico and Colorado. Mine was purchased in Silverton, Colorado, way up in the mountains. I have also fallen in love with the simplicity of the instrument and the haunting...

I have a real appreciation for Native American culture and an interest in hearing how it influences Native American followers of Jesus in their worship and expression of their faith. If anyone who would like to share with me your experiences being a Native American follower of Jesus, I would be...
