    After hooking up DVD-RW, both drives aren't showing up

    I think it is a jumper problem. The DVD-RW is set to master, so I guess i'll switch it to slave then see if the computer recognizes it. Thanks for the help.

    I just hooked up my new DVD-RW and when I booted my computer back up neither my DVD or DVD-RW drives showed up in My Computer or Device Manager. Any idea why that is? Both drives are flashing. I'm currently running Windows ME if that is any help.
