  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How can I have faith that Jesus will answer my prayer, without going against his will?

I don't know if anyone will read this, but I'd like to update the post, maybe just to myself and share some thoughts that I have, I don't know. My mom is not doing well. The doc told us today she's facing another infection (the third one so far, she overcame the first two) and that her defenses...

Should I distance myself from non-christian friends?

I think that might be it. And yes, she did. Even though the pro-palestine posts she liked weren't as hateful and more like a middle ground opinion, it still hurt a little

Prophets saying, "Jesus told them about the Rapture".

Matthew 24:40 — Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Luke 17:34 — I tell you, on that night there will be two in one bed; one will be taken and the other will be left. Revelation 3:10 — Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep...

Would you marry a woman who was a former stripper or X-rated star if she turned into a Christian ?

Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I...

Would you marry a woman who was a former stripper or X-rated star if she turned into a Christian ?

Jesus's teachings are not about personal preferences. A former thief born in Christ is no longer a thief. A former stripper is no longer a stripper if she gave her life to Jesus. I'd like to believe the same situation applies to a former pedophile. You and I, and everyone else, are "former...

Would you marry a woman who was a former stripper or X-rated star if she turned into a Christian ?

How can we expect Jesus to forgive our past mistakes if we don't do the same with others? Aren't we called to follow into Jesus footsteps? To live as he lived, and love as he loved? “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more...

Would you marry a woman who was a former stripper or X-rated star if she turned into a Christian ?

It's not just about being forgiven, it's about the fact that in Jesus, we are born again. I respect your opinion, but I feel like you're just talking about yourself, what you seek in a partner without taking into consideration the woman's perspective? We all have a past, it can be sexual or not...

Should I distance myself from non-christian friends?

I totally relate to what you said about the differences being more apparent the closer you drew to Jesus, because that's how I feel right now. It only happened in a matter of weeks, but I used to "relate" to many of our conversations, and right now it doesn't feel that way since I'm also way...

    Are most mega-churches preaching prosperity?

When you see your fellow pastors wearing suits that costs more than $1000 I do think we have a problem ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ There is a difference between wanting to be financially stable to feed yourself, your family, etc — and demanding God to prosper your life in every single way when that is not what...

How can I have faith that Jesus will answer my prayer, without going against his will?

Thank you so much for all your replies, you have no idea how much this means to me. She is doing well, still in ICU but improving a lot (some of the doctors said it was a "miracle" that she recovered so fast, praise the Lord:heart:), she might be transferred to a normal room on Tuesday so that...

Should I distance myself from non-christian friends?

This question has probably been discussed countless of times, but I'd really like some input about this. I have been a christian all my life, I'm 28 years old. One day I might actually share my testimony since it's quite amazing lmao. I currently don't go to church, so I don't have any...

How can I have faith that Jesus will answer my prayer, without going against his will?

It's not that I think that God inflicts people, but scripture has stated over and over again that God uses pain, and suffering, and trials — to test our faith, to refine us like gold. We will walk through the valley of shadow of death, we will lose family members, we will suffer on this earth...

How can I have faith that Jesus will answer my prayer, without going against his will?

My heart is having conflict about this and I'd like to hear your thoughts. My mom is in the hospital right now, in ICU, for various reasons. We believe and pray that she will be healed, and get out of this alive, but my heart is torn between asking for healing, and allowing God to do his will...
