  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

    Arrested and out on bond

You provided me with a laugh...thanks. Im not sure where disorderly conduct came in here...I guess it was that my family told him about the "intent". As far as asking about convictions, ANY applications Ive filled out have asked about anything BEYOND minor traffic tickets, both at a misdemeanor...

    Arrested and out on bond

As far as asking, at this point I don't mind telling. ;) When I first posted I was pretty bruised emotionally. :D

    Arrested and out on bond

I work at a grocery store, in the deli. It's a small town. My arrest was the story of the week in court news. It's amazing I got hired at all. They didnt quote the name of the guy who I wanted to take out that night but that's how everyone knew me before, I was the gal who worked nights for...

    Jobs

Im a white female, and Ive never asked, but been turned down from more jobs than I can count. Maybe it's cause I'm female? LOL ;)

    Arrested and out on bond

Ok, you asked. :) Here is the story of my arrest. My former boss owed me $20, an honest mistake on my part because I thought he'd overpaid me the last time and I gave him $20 back. I left a message on his phone and there was no response. I figured that he was just busy and that he'd eventually...

    Arrested and out on bond

Thanks ya'll. I have learned from this experience and seriously can see where even supervision can maybe (maybe) be a positive experience. At any rate, I intend to just cooperate and behave myself. Im extremely thankful to have a job, ANY job.

    Arrested and out on bond

Got a job today, p/t and the pay is lousy but gets me out of the house. I go to court on the 25th and finalize the plea agreement, one year supervision.

    Arrested and out on bond

It will stay on my record for 7 years, which sucks more than just a little. As far as the sentence, in some ways doing my time and getting out of the system sounds appealing. This county jail is far from the dangerous, aweful place you picture as most city jails. I am sure Id come out...

    Arrested and out on bond

Ok, Im looking at one of two (or three) sentences. Best case scenario is I get 10 days jail time and walk away. BUT he thinks the DA will want both jail and probation. IF this is the case he's going to argue with giving me just probation, which isnt that exciting. It'd be one year supervision.

    Arrested and out on bond

Easier said than done to sit here and wait to see what'll happen as far as sentencing. I finally called my State Public Defender, talked to his secretary who said he'll be in tomorrow. I'd like to have a clue what Im up against as far as a sentence. I detest the thought of more jail time, ANY...

    People I can do without...

Drivers of semis who don't think twice about tailing me in my little Focus, on icey roads. I feel like death is breathing down my neck! People who listen to a police scanner in their spare time and find joy out of talking about any bump, including a minor traffic stop, you may have had with...

    Arrested and out on bond

Nothing so far. I feel like Im on hold until March 25 when I go back to court. After that my former employer might take me back, perhaps on a p/t basis. Ironically this is the same guy that this whole incident revolved around so he either is A) stupid or B) highly forgiving.

    Allow me to vent....grrrrrrrr!

Boredom DOES lead to bad things, probably why I have a disorderly conduct charge. Good idea about the list! Ill see what I can come up with! :D

    Living with Mom and Dad

I lived with a boyfriend for awhile and than circumstances forced me back in with my parents. Ended up losing my job about the time I was ready to get out on my own again. I've tried to just accept the situation the way it is and say, "hey, as soon as it works Ill move out. For now, Im glad...

    Allow me to vent....grrrrrrrr!

Thanks guys! You help me see the positive in a negative situation. I have this wonderful horse that I'd happily give free riding lessons on, but Im a little clueless as to how I'd go about getting kids?
