  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    Inerrancy, infallibilty, and the Bible

That's your interpretation. If I say, "I picked up the hammer and walked into the shop", the facts that I present leave you to assume I went into the shop with the hammer. If someone later adds that on reaching the door to the shop, I dropped the hammer, it's new evidence and changes the...

    Inerrancy, infallibilty, and the Bible

Mark 15:20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him. 21 A certain man from Cyrene, Simon, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and they forced him to carry the...

    Inerrancy, infallibilty, and the Bible

Thanks. That is not what I am saying. I'm saying there is a discrepancy. The fact is very simple: one source says "Jesus carried His cross to Golgotha" while another says "they forced Simon to carry the cross. They brought Jesus to Golgotha". Your extrapolation from the text is an...

    Inerrancy, infallibilty, and the Bible

ImperatorWall: I'd like to try and make two points: 1. The problem (I see) with your approach is that you aren't discussing this on fair terms with people. You say "find an error/contradiction" and TX CO Matt gave you several. Who carried the cross? Your answer is "here is an...

Do you want to go to heaven???????????????

Nope! I never said that, so that is not my wrong. Let's begin a debate about using your and you're in the wrong places... or let's not!

Do you want to go to heaven???????????????

I need to explain? Okay, here goes........ It goes back to this: As you can see, the implication is that you are cheating on us with some kind of 'good news' (which may or may not be hotter and younger than we are) and, naturally that would be bad news. It would be bad in general, if...

Where does it say that, if you don't mind me asking?

What I wrote was that Jesus said the one thing the man must do is sell everything he has and give to the poor. Not "give it up in your heart", as you wrote:

You say you don't know but you were pretty quick with that list. It sounds like you do know... Platonically.

A Girl's Love Is All I Need, and I Never Get It...

You need to look at that in context. The wealthy man asked God, "What must I do to inherit eternal life?" As in many situations, Christ acted to illustrate the heart. Jesus gives him the commandments, which the man says he has kept. Then Jesus gets to the problem. He says the one thing the...
