Speaking of C.S. Lewis, it's interesting to learn that J.R.R. Tolkien was instrumental in leading C.S. Lewis to Christ. They were both prolific writers. I have even heard atheists commend C.S. Lewis for his writings as a great thinker. :)

The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel is an excellent book as is the Case For Faith.

I haven't read them but if you want the best book available on spiritual warfare then I would recommend the classic, "Spiritual Warfare in a Believer's Life" by Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

Very true Kelly. Some people are doing 40 weeks also as a different approach. By the way, Rick Warren was on the Bible Answer Man Broadcast on the radio today talking about this book. He will be on again tomorrow for another hour.

I would agree completely and would take the word of Bruce Metzger over practically any other textual criticist out there. Dr. Metzger knows what he is talking about.

I always wonder the same thing too. This comes out of the charismatic camp and I don't feel they way they use it makes much sense. That is for another discussion though. ;)
