  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

    A Sense of Certainty

A SENSE OF CERTAINTY This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15, NIV) This confidence is the foundation of our walk...

    Theology?

THEOLOGY? Fhansen. Thankyou for your comment. As the children of God, all of whom are being called into an ever-deepening relationship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, we are confronted with a range of theological opinions on quite a number of important subjects. Many sincere and...

    Theology?

Precisely. That is where the epicenter of church institutionalism lies. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

    Theology?

The church institutions are the modern day “towers of Babel” which have been built by men to satisfy their own needs independently of the purpose of God. Their final destruction has been foretold for 1900 years in Revelation 18:1-24. When the time comes, the Lord issues the following...

    Affirmation of Our Faith

In my view, creeds are unverified opinion.

    Theology?

Actually. This is only the tip of the iceberg. How the churches have come to where they are is quite simple. Any human organisation eventually becomes an end in itself. There are salaries to pay, buildings to maintain, appearances to keep up and careers to promote. Eventually the church...

    Affirmation of Our Faith

As I am sure you are well aware, there has been much debate over the centuries about this subject and many different opinions have emerged. I respect you for yours. What is important for all of us is that the outcome of our commitment may be as Paul prayed: I keep asking that the God of our...

    Affirmation of Our Faith

AFFIRMATION OF OUR FAITH If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. (1 John 4:15, NIV) [The Greek word translated “acknowledges” (“confesses” in some other translations) (homologeō) has the meaning of “make an emphatic assertion.”] The fact that...

    Theology?

To take this matter a step further, I would like to share with you a quote from Millar J Erickson’s book, “Christian Theology” (page 1245). He doesn’t beat about the bush and sums up some of the fundamental issues which are at the heart of this problem. “There are certain dangers associated...

    Theology?

THEOLOGY? This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. (1 Corinthians 2:13, NIV) Theologians have, over the centuries, brought the search for an understanding of God down to an...

    Consider it Pure Joy

CONSIDER IT PURE JOY Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. (James 1:2‑3, NIV) There exist within the redeemed child of God that which we could describe as two sources of life...

    Knowing the Word

KNOWING THE WORD How we come to a knowledge of the truth through the imperfect vehicle of human language is, as I see it, one of the great revelations of Paul’s teachings. I would like to share with you a few thoughts on this subject. Languages are a means by which we human beings are able...

    God is Love

GOD IS LOVE And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. (1 John 4:16, NIV) But love cannot be fulfilled in a vacuum. For love to be complete it requires not only those upon whom it can lavish that love but it also...

    Prophecy

Carl, You make a valid point. Where I am coming from is that I see the church as building itself up when Christians meet together and share with one another what God has placed upon their hearts. This is what I think is being described in 1 Corinthians 12:7‑11. There it talks about “a...

    Prophecy

PROPHECY Prophecy is defined in the New Testament on three levels. 1. Firstly there is the gift of the prophet, that is, one of the five ministry gifts. So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, (Ephesians 4:11, NIV) 2. Secondly...
