  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As a single do you feel that God has ask more of you than the angels?

I know this questions sounds so ungodly, but when I see the OT passage of Genesis 6:1-4 (and compare it to I Corinthians 11:10; II Peter 2:4-5; Jude 6) speaking of the angels which change themselves into flesh; And the angels which kept not their first estate but left their own habitation Jude...

What does the church do to help singles?

First I would like to be like you too, that is married! But I have not found such favor with God. Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. I know this doesn't necessary mean blessing, but the opposite of favour is something like despied or even...

Was Jesus Christ rich or poor?

I remember reading a verse, a few years ago while going through my Daily Bread reading which has become a favorite since. Because of this verse I would say during His earthly life He was poor. II Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for...

Paul the Apostle a false prophet?

Many Christians read James 2, and decide that James and Paul preach two different messages. But this is not the case. But because of this we have two very unorothodox teaching. Some saying that we are save by grace and can do anything we please. The other saying we cannot sin; and still be...

    1st Peter 3:19

IMO the Prison was hell (Acts 2:27-36; Psalms 16:10-11), and I think it would have been all who died before Christ Resurrection, but definitely though before the flood (I Peter 3:20) not sure how but I believe I Peter 4:6 has some answers to your question.

    The Trinity

Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am. John 8:58 I know of a translation that states that Jesus said I have been, only problem is if He had say this the Jews would not have tried to stone Him(John 8:59), because when Jesus said I am, He meant He was God...

What does god do with the following people?

The people before the Coming of Christ where preached to in prison (hade) (I Peter 3:18-20) when the body of Christ was in the grave, His Spirit preached to them. With the exception of the mentally ill and very young, Paul addresses all other groups. 11) For there is no respect of persons...

    Best Gospel?

I have two favorites Matthew and of course John. For between them both we have the commandment of Jesus (Matthew 22:37-40; John 13:34-35; 14:15; 15:12).

"It is good for a man not to touch a woman." How far does this go?

I agree with what DeaconDean has stated. I Corinthians 7 deals with sexual relationship. We know that Paul is talking about an act of sex here, just from reading the last 6 verses of I Corinthians 6, for Pauls state that a believer should not take his body and join it to an harlot for he is...

    Trouble with Acts 21:26

Thanks that does help a little more, I'll have to think a little on what you wrote. But do appreciate this as maybe the time difference element will help answer this.

    Trouble with Acts 21:26

Thanks for the replied. You make a very interesting and true point. But what I was getting at is that from what I understand even for a Christian Jew/Messianic Jew to offer a blood offering after Jesus Christ death and Resurrection was a gross sin of trying to add to what Christ has...

    Trouble with Acts 21:26

Hebrews 10:12, 14 12) But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. 14) For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. After reading these two verses in Hebrews I'm confounded with how Paul and James could...

    Paul's thorn in the flesh

I have to agree with those who speak of his eye problems. For when writing to the Galatians he mentioned an infirmity of the flesh and states if possible the members of the church would have plucked out their eye(s) for him. Galatians 4:12-15 And as WinBySurrender has stated he speaks of his...

    The first thing men notice?

Definitely face and hair, I have to say that, after watching a Kimberly Perry (Band Perry) Video. And if she has that Holy Spirit radiance in her face; WOW!
