Cross In The Camp
This wouldn't be in the shape of the Christian cross if it weren't for the smaller numbers of the three top camps (south, west, north) and the larger camp of Judah to the east. Doesn't sound like a coincidence. I go over the position of the camps every two weeks, along with my other memory work I do, and this info about the shape of the cross will make it even more meaningful. Thanks for posting this. Most people probably couldn't care less, but like a lot of things, God has deeper meaning in things than most people realize. PTL.

I again thought of this graphic showing how the camps of ancient Israel were in the form of a cross. It reminded me of a panel of judges and an audience watching a man speedily painting a painting over a period of a few minutes. After about a minute the judges got bored, and disappointed because they couldn't understand or recognize what the painter was painting. So one by one the judges pressed their " X " buzzers, rejecting this man's talent. ... and then he turned the picture over. He had purposely, and with great talent painted it upside down. Now when he turned it over they recognized a beautiful portrait of someone they all recognized and were greatly surprised and impressed. How many times do we read things like genealogies, and lists of numbers
and places that are hard to pronounce in God's Word and don't seek to find greater meaning in them. In fact often the next time we come to them (if we read through the Bible each year) we may even speed through them at a glance or skip them entirely.
We subconsciously give God's Word the " x " buzzer and reject this portion. Oh what awaits us in glory one day. Oh what awaits us even in this life, if we would only put in the effort to research or study it out. 2 Timothy 3:16; Psalms 34:8.
