NIV Vs KJV
@riesie

While I may use Modern Bibles much like I use a dictionary to define a word or set of words in the King James Bible, Modern Bibles are not my final Word of authority because they make changes for the worse, and not for the better.

Check out my CF thread here to learn more:

30 Reasons for the King James Bible

I hope this helps, and may God bless you, my friend.

Thanks a lot for the great tip. Personally I'm from the Netherlands and I also use a very old translation because of the same reasons you mention. Besides that I recently purchased a KJV and even a German Luther translation. I will check out your thread, thanks. I think you do good work. May God bless you brother!!

Thank you for your kindness, dear brother.
May you always stay strong in the power of the Lord’s might and strength.
Keep trusting in His Word no matter what scholars say or what men say.
God’s Word will never fail you if you keep faithful to it (even if you may not understand it or think there is something that may appear contradictory, etcetera).

According to Lifeway Research Study, 66% of kids are walking away from the faith when they go to Bible college.

Sixty-Six Percent of Christian Kids Walk Away from Faith in College: How Marvin UMC is Discipling the Next Generation of Leaders
(Note: I am merely quoting this article for the reference to Lifeway Research study statistic. This does not mean I hold to all of the beliefs held by this website).

A study by Barna says 70% of students fall away from the faith when they go to Bible college.

Source:
Will You Lose Your Faith in College? (Note: I am merely quoting their article for their reference by Barna group that does Christian statistical studies. This does not mean I agree with all of the beliefs put forth by this website; Especially in Calvinism. For I believe Reformed Theology or Calvinism to be unbiblical).

While each of the authors in the two above articles each give their own unique reasons as to why they think students are losing their faith when they go to Bible college, I believe they do not realize the actual true reason. In most Bible colleges today, they teach the silent unnamed religion called Modern Scholarship which tells their students that there is no perfect Word of God that they can hold in their hands today. They believe only the originals were perfect and we don’t have them. So then the scholar sits in the seat of God and tells people what God said and did not say in both the original languages and the English corrupted Modern version Bibles. Kids who grew up in church most likely thought the Bible was THE Word of God. But when they get to college, they learn that there never really is any settled Bible that they can trust 100% as the Word of God. So then they doubt if God truly means what He says and if God cannot keep His words for us today, then they doubt God may be true, and they walk away from the faith. Even Modern Scholars have walked away from the faith.

There is a short video online (about 8 minutes) where you can see Bart Ehrman (a previous Modern Scholar or a former defender of Textual Criticism) in his own words describe how he was a "born again Fundamentalist Christian" and he lost his faith.

I believe Bart fell away from the faith and he no longer believes in God because of the unnamed religion of Modern Scholarship that says there is no perfect Bible in existence today that we can trust 100%.

Another King James Bible Believer
(Note: While I agree with Will Kinney's stand on the King James Bible as the pure Word of God for today, I do not believe in some of his other beliefs - like Reformed Theology or Calvinism).
I hope this helps you to see the kind of attack against the Word of God we are under in these last days.

May God bless you greatly brother.

@Bible Highlighter wow this is amazing info. Thanks a lot brother. I'm very interested in this kind of research and stats. Are you in science of some sort as well?

Thanks again!

In regards to the talents God gave me, I am an artist/writer at heart, but I do love to investigate the truth sort of like a detective.

If you are interested, I created a Blogger article on evidences that back up God’s Word (the Bible).

Love Branch: Evidences for the Word of God

Note: Keep in mind I do not endorse all of the beliefs of Chuck Missler, and Mike Hoggard. I just happen to agree with their beliefs on the information Sciences that back up God’s Word (the Bible).

@Bible Highlighter Great, thanks, I will check it out. What kind of artist are you if I might ask? I've been a photographer for more than 20 years with my own studio in advertising photography. Now I'm almost a qualified radiographer (in a few months). Going to exploit my creative side privately from now on.

While everyone has their own personal preference in their favorite form of art (and that is okay with me as long as it is moral and good), I personally believe comic book artwork is the highest form of artwork because of the word and picture form of communication involved (Note: Making Comics by Scott McCloud, while a secular work is a good example of what I am talking about here). Granted, I am a little biased in thinking comic books are the highest form of artwork, too. I grew up with comics most of my life (Marvel comics particularly). Granted, I am not into worldly comic books anymore, though. But after my Bible project (Which is similar to the Defined King James Bible), and my Christian book project, I would like to create Christian comic book tracts similar to Chick tracts (see this tract here as an example). However, my tracts will be different in that while I may at times preach the gravity or reality of the judgment and hell, I do want to focus my tracts on being a lot more loving, and or in being more love focused (even while covering those topics). My tracts will also be more creative on a different level, and more informative, as well (At least that will be the goal anyways). I already have many storylines written down so far, and I would like to release a descent amount of them at the start of my venture to glorify Christ and His Word and to see more souls saved and on the right mature path in walking with Christ.

Hopefully I will have time before the Lord Jesus comes back to finish my projects for Him.

Anyways, may God’s good ways be upon you today.

With loving kindness to you in Christ,

Sincerely,

B.L. Highlighter.
