  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

White House adds plaques below Biden and Obama portraits, calling them ‘the worst President in American history’ and ‘divisive’

Yada. Yada. Yada.

We had four years of so much hate and lies and name calling from Biden that I hadn’t noticed a change.
This very thread is about Trump disrespecting former Presidents with ridiculous plaques at the White House. He is incredibly divisive and hateful and clearly very proud that he is.

You seem to be agreeing Trump is just as bad as you say Biden was.

And whom did Biden represent while he was president?
All decent Americans who rejected the previous administration’s degradation of our political discourse as well as their disastrous policies. People are already finding out just why the country overwhelmingly rejected Trump’s reelection in 2020 despite voters’ notoriously bad short term memories.

One of the nastiest, most divisive presidents ever.
Who are some of the others? Surely, Trump should be on that same list. Only an intellectually dishonest person would disagree he’s not been nasty or divisive.
Inciting violence and hatred for anyone on the right, racist as all get out, among his many unsavory qualities.
Yeah that seems to be a thing with these old white guys. That’s why I voted for the young black woman to try and break away from that pattern.

At least Trump has fixed most of the problems Biden caused with is disdain for the USA.
That’s cute you believe this.
Every president in the history of this country has had their good points and their bad points. It’s only been this current president that half the population refuses to acknowledge the good he has done.
Oh, it’s much more than half.
Pretty sad that half the population wishes only for the destruction of the country because of their hatred for the president.
From a much better president than both Biden or Trump:

I can actually provide video evidence for Biden’s most racist comments as well as when he incited so much violence towards Trump that he was almost assassinated on two occasions. All you can provide is often disproved leftist talking points that even many of the most liberals acknowledge are fake news.
Are you trying to suggest Trump didn’t put up divisive, insulting or plaques under presidential portraits in the White House?

Or do you somehow think that’s not being purposely divisive and disrespectful?

There’s room for improvement. I’m not a supporter, per se, but only voted for him because I felt like I had no other choice. Not saying I’m thrilled with all of his unacceptable behavior, because I’m not.
Except you did have a choice. In a country where no one is compelled to vote, you always have a choice to not elect someone you don’t like. You chose to elect him knowing full well the kind of toxic, nasty person he is.

Did you think he would somehow change for the better?
He won’t be around forever.
I’m counting the days.

I don't think half the population is wishing for the destruction of the country. They (or we) are just hoping the country and economy can survive such poor leadership.

Yeah he actually revels in his own bad behavior and low character.

I voted for him because I didn’t like the other choice. So yes. I’m not saying im proud I voted for him, but I couldn’t stomach the other option. Period.

No, he did it, but it was after the FBI and DOJ being weaponized against him, after court cases where laws were rewritten for the sole purpose of imprisoning him, after him almost being assassinated twice after the MOST divisive president continued to incite violence against him.

Fair enough.
Again. I will criticize if I choose. Not saying I’m necessarily happy with him, and I have nothing else to add.

Take care

I wonder if the Democrats are going to add warmongering, terrorist, convicted criminal, and pedophile to any future portraits? Asking for a friend.

Then shame on him. Whatever anyone else has done doesn't make him less responsible. He has to own it.

You have to accept that.
After what the left has done to that man, and the lack of accountability for their actions, it’s a wonder you can say that with a straight face.

But for the record, I agree that he has been much less tactful this time around. He should be the better person than those who tried to impeach him and jail him and try to kill him, but why should he take the time to care about them? And when I say “them”, I am specifically talking about the people in authority on the left who broke the laws, themselves, to make his life a living nightmare when the only actions he took as president were to benefit the people (all the people) of the country.

What a lot of hooey! Neither the FBI nor the DOJ were weaponized until 2025. No law was rewritten for imprisoning him - the Supreme Court overrode state law to keep him on the ballot. He was almost assassinated by a Republican, not by anyone influenced by Biden, who is not the president who not incites violence on a near daily basis but actually perpetuates violence against his perceived enemies.

The Trump camp was promising all sorts of arrests and trials. What happened? Where are the charges? Where are the trials? What were these alleged crimes? All we got was some low-grade baloney about loan documents.

Unlike the left, who sets their sights on someone and then has to create laws to charge them with, the right is doing investigations to see which specific laws have been broken. If no laws were broken, no charges will be filed.

You ignored my last questions, how about this one: What laws are you talking about?
the right is doing investigations to see which specific laws have been broken.
Sure they are. Hillary will be locked up any moment.

Ok... Which laws were created with Trump in mind?
