  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Has anyone ever made fentanyl into an actual WMD?

What I see is people dying from it one at a time just like they do with gunshots - which are just as lethal as fentanyl.
It's an average of 800 deaths per day.

Its horrible. I know one person who's died from this. Others here perhaps know several.

But that doesnt make it a WMD. Is anything so bad that we have to lose our minds over it, and surrender our ability to think clearly? We can fight fentanyl without doing that - Id hope.

...interdicting the boat and confiscating the alleged drugs would have the same result.
uhhhh, no.
According to human nature, drug terrorists get more scared by/more spooked by, seeing their co-Terrorists get 'un-alived' versus get arrested.

Ummm. Anyone who has observed Cartel operations knows the mules are considered disposable. A panga and it's occupants can be easily replaced. The reputation of the U.S. and the U.S. Navy.....not so much.

He's lying to you of course (I didn't need to actually tell you that)...
Yes, because Trump causes 'blue donkey' admirers to feel like it's so cool to claim Trump told a lie --without actually proving that Trump told a lie.

Yep. That tactic has worked, FLAWLESSLY, ever since Trump quit admiring blue donkeys!

IS IT ABOUT who considers the terrorists disposable?? OR, It's about what can make the terrorists decide to quit showing up for work??

A panga and it's occupants can be easily replaced.
Nah. I think I'll stick to the human nature reality of getting 'un-alived' vs being arrested. It's indisputable! LOL

Do you know the meaning of the word disposible?

The cartel only cares about one thing, moving their product to make a profit. Blowing up a few pangas will certainly not alter their multi-million dollar operation.

Do you know the meaning of "REFUSE TO SHOW UP FOR WORK" ???
The cartel can NOT perfect their operations if "pangas" refuse to come to work out of fear of their boat being blown up and leaving them un-alived.

Again, it's called human nature.

Fentanyl doesn't come from Venezuela. Even government sites tell you that. I linked to 2 earlier. So you know that as a fact as told to you by this administration. So when Trump says he's solving the fentanyl problem by blowing up boats from Venezuela in the Carribean then we both know he's lying.

You can try to justify what he's doing if you like. But to say that he's not lying about what he says he's doing...is just peverse.

I don't care what Trump believes. The fact remains he dismissed an investigation spanning nearly a decade. The basically gave the middle finger to the DEA and DOJ....and the Hondurand and AMerican people.
Hmm what was the Biden admin up to one wonders.
Calling an illegal drug a "weapon of mass destruction" is just plain stupid.
A lethal chemical substance being sent to the US that's killing as many as 350,000 Americans per year. Meh no biggie.

I didn't say thousands of people dying is "no biggie"....and stop implying otherwise, Servus.

How many of those 350,000 deaths will be prevented by delcaring a drug as a weapon of mass destruction?

If it was Obama or Biden issuing this same EXACT Exec Order, would you still pretend like it applies to hospitals??
Or would you simply accept it that the US President clearly said the Order applies only to illicit use or illicit possession of the drug???
The order obviously only applies to Venezuela, even though they play no role in the distribution of fentanyl. They just are an opportune target for oil raids.

But enough about tobacco and you’re short a 100,000.

Fentanyl has a lot of catching up to do.

Fentanyl isn't killing "as many as 350,000 Americans per year". About 90,000 to 110,000 Americans die per year from drug overdoses of all kinds.

Estimates are that synthetic opioids kill as many as 80,000 per year (of which about 18,000 were prescription opioids).

Overstating your case by x4 doesn't do anything to help people believe your claims.

You could also use your own argument to declare oil is a WMD. After all, oil is a "lethal chemical substance being sent to the US that's killing as many as 350,000 90,000 Americans per year".
