CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Wasn't it Brown University that went through a lot of free-Palestine rallies? I want to say, that was one of the worst universities, that even had crazy people camping out, and doing "hunger strikes".
...Maybe the University didn't go far enough in divesting from Jews, so they got whacked by the Islamists.

Yes, thank you, my observations are based on the impatience seen in free-palestine movements, where oftentimes, even friends of the cause are attacked simply for not going "far enough". A good example of that would be how the free-Palestine movement has chosen to heckel and protest Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, on several occasions, even though she was an advocate for their cause. Even her campaign office was vandalized.
Likewise, I could see the same mindset on an attack of Brown University, even though it was the site of many free protests, but perhaps like AOC, they didn't go 'far enough' either.

The shooter could have yelled anything. For example, the shooter in the 2018 Pittsburgh Tree of Life synagogue attack that killed 11 people and wounded 6 others yelled, "All Jews must die." Anders Breivik yelled, "You are going to die today, Marxists!" During the 2011 attack in Norway and in the 2014 Las Vegas police ambush, the shooters yelled, "This is a revolution!"
