We need to pray and write our politicians. Taking away freedom of speech, saying parts of the Bible are hate speech, will not be able to post scripture..
Bill C-9 represents an unacceptable assault on free expression in Canada. (it is especially targeting religious groups) use link provided to send a message to your member of parliament, this link is good for all over Canada.
This bill would give the government the power to criminally prosecute Canadians for their opinions, lower the bar for what legally constitutes “hate,” and strip away vital safeguards that keep authorities from weaponizing laws against dissidents. It risks turning controversial memes into crimes and silencing open debate through fear of prosecution.

Hate speech. This is what we are talking about and this goes across all religious belief systems. It is obvious that no Christian Pastor should preach " hate", right? This is what lifting the " good faith" protections means. It aims to protect the public from a pulpit promoting hate. The fact that this protection was lifted leads me to believe there is a serious problem with religious institutions allowing such things to go unchallenged. Basically any statements that meet the high standard of promoting detestation and vilification should not be shielded, regardless of whether they are cloaked in religious language.
Let us reason, hate speech has no place in tbe Kingdom of God.

Don’t see how that bill criminalizes the Bible. Unless yours has swastikas on the cover and you wave it about in public while manning a barricade keeping others out of their place of worship maybe ?
