According to FOX News, Nick Reiner struggled with "homelessness and mental health issues" for years. He said himself he'd been homeless for weeks at a time, in Maine, in New Jersey, and in Texas. Why he would be homeless when his father had money to burn is something I don't know, but there you go.

I liked Reiner's movies, but I disagreed with his political views strenuously. I pray that he and his wife rest in peace and are judged compassionately and mercifully by God our Father.

A few hours ago I happened to watch an All in the Family clip with him going at it with Archie. He was 78, but his dad Carl Reiner lived to be 98. So he might have had another 20 years left.
