  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did Christ's teachings include bringing in a culture from another nation which practices fraud and tribalism and stealing billions of taxes from us

Jesus never addressed the nations or cultures of man. And as Paul wrote, "there is neither Jew nor Greek." In Christ, we are one. There is no American or Somali in His kingdom.

And what of those who were members of the Minnesota government who knew about the fraud, covered for it, and benefited from it? Let's say people like Ilan Omar and Tim Waltz?
All you have to do is prove in a court of law that this actually happened.

Though I have to say, it's cute when a Trump supporter pretends to be concerned with fraud.

There are lots of cultures all over the world that live in sinful practices. There are also cultures of people who have immigrated to nations without assimilating to that nation.

Perhaps Christians in America should be more careful as to whom we invite into the USA. Perhaps Christians in every nation ought not invite people whom won't assimilate into that nation.
Didn't know Jesus placed qualifiers on taking care of the least of us. What verses are those? All across American different cultures have their pockets of communities. Little Italy scattered across the east coast Little Poland in Chicago. Korean Towns all over. Pockets of Ukrainian Churches and markets where I live in the Seattle area. Every culture does in America. To NOT take care of the least of us IS a sinful practice according to Jesus.

The Somalian fraud and tribalism was going on long before Trump. That is what happens when you import the third world into your country in mass, give them welfare to make them comfortable, and have zero expectation for them to assimilate. They bring they bring the third world with them and replicate it where they are.

What is third world about this fraud scheme? Because fraud is as old as commerce and plenty of it existed here long before any Somalis immigrated. These were business owners ( not welfare recipients) taking advantage of a program that was not well regulated. Also, the Fraud was not limited to Somali owned businesses.

Why invite people in who won’t vote for you?
I understand this completely.

You believe that. Do you have any evidence? We have had waves of immigrants for hundreds of years and do not seem to have lost our cultural identity yet.
In years past many immigrants truly came to this country for a better life and were grateful and proud to learn the language and assimilate into our country where opportunity came with hard work and not handouts and theft. It is sad to witness what immigration has become in this nation mostly under liberal policies. It is also sad to witness many who thump their Bibles in support of criminals, drug dealers, human traffickers, rapist, murders , and those that come to take advantage of a generous nation. Those that come LEGALLY are welcome and those that feel entitled to break our laws need to be thrown out. That is why Trump was elected and that is what he is doing. For those that hate Trump more than they love the rule of law and the constitution should look closer at those Bibles that they try to beat Trump supporters with.

Why allow people in just because they will vote for you! There no other reasonable explanation for the more recent chaos created at the border by the Biden debacle. Thank you Trump for keeping your campaign promise!

We are not yet living as a world in Christs kingdom. It was God himself that separated the nations and created the frame work for different cultures. It is nonsense to try define this presently fallen world by trying to use kingdom principles that Christ himself has not yet implemented on this entire planet.

You do not strike me a someone who has an intimate view of immigrants. That is why I ask for data, not anecdotes.

I'm not entirely sure what you are asking but I'll do my best to answer and you can correct me if I guess wrong.

Are you asking what is the root of our cultural identity? Then I euphoric say we are a country built on the idea that if you allow people to be free and govern themselves they will create homogeneous groups of like minded people and do their best to work with others to compromise for the good of all.

Does that answer your question or were you looking for something else?

You cannot compare hundreds of years of immigration in this country to the insane open border policies of the previous resident.

The evidence is very evident to anyone who cares to open their eyes to reality.

I can and did. You need to offer counter evidence. Bald assertion will not cover it.

Get back to me when you can actually articulate what the evidence is rather then just claiming it exists and anyone who can't see it is blind.

It is a good answer. But the point that I was trying to raise is that if people have difficulty trying to identify what about our cultural identity that is uniquely American, how can they possibly know when it is lost?

I can't say that I have an answer to that question. Though it does concern me that we should find it difficult to identify something uniquely American about our culture. For me I think it not so difficult, but it has to do with being a nation of immigrants who work together to be a beacon of freedom and ingenuity. That does not seem to resonate so much right now with our trying to kick everyone out.

That's an interesting question. I don't think you've said.

How can you know?

Do you think demonizing an entire group of people based on their country of origin represents the best of America?
Sounds as if the D's are willing to partner up with criminals in order to win elections. Isn't that something that can be prosecuted under RICO statutes?
