  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I assume she is shielding her very young children from any criticism of her or her late husband, but if she wants peace for herself, keeping herself in the spotlight is not the way to do it. I didn’t know she existed, honestly surprised to find out Charlie was married, and now she is everywhere- promoting TPUSA, promoting Charlie’s posthumously published book, promoting herself and her views on how conservative women and women in general should live their lives. She is seeking this attention. She has to know it will draw both praise and criticism.

As to the conspiracy theories, I have no idea what they are, but I doubt they are worth her energy to even acknowledge them.
She is asking that whatever memorial they erect at Turning Point USA in honor of the memory of her husband, and their children's father, be free from fear of desecration. Do you support that or not?

That is a reasonable ask.

What are you talking about?

Yes. Start off with garbage, and a reasonable person would assume the rest is garbage built on top of garbage.

If prominent rightwing culture warriors had built stronger defenses against accepting conspiracy theories, this kind of thing might not take root.

But it's never too late to start.

They will never abandon culture wars and conspiracies.

They can keep their culture war, but it would be very helpful for everyone, themselves included, if they used a bit more critical thinking in deciding which claims to accept.

The culture war is built on conspiracy theories: gays will destroy the family, trans women will rape your kids, immigrants are erasing the white race, etc.

If they used critical thinking in deciding which claims to accept, there wouldn’t be much of a culture war.

@Oompa Loompa , the very next sentence that you cut off answered your question.

@Vambram, I posted a screenshot of the fear and lies he peddled in post #3.

If neither of you are going to be bothered to read things before you comment, why are you here? If you just want to blindly shout anti-Dem propaganda into the void, that's what Twitter is for.
What you posted in your screenshot is NOT Charlie Kirk peddling fear and lies.

It made people fear and hate Haitian immigrants and it wasn't true.

What would you call it?

Oh. So you are calling me out. Thank you for admitting it.
AFAIK, calling somebody out requires tagging them. I'm responding to your comments in this thread.
